The Throne of Thorns Novel Chapter 461

Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 461

Chapter 461

The air around Lucius turned frigid, the pressure so intense that Damon and Magnus shivered, dering not to even glance at his face. If looks could kill, the room would be littered with corpses.

“Mr. Lincoln, calm down,” Damon murmured, trying to placate him. “We’ll bankrupt Starlight Media. That little upstart will be on her knees, and then you can humiliate her however you please”

Lucius’s voice was ice. “From this day forward, I want Starlight Media blacklisted. Not a single resource, not one project. I want them bankrupt in three months.”

And after Starlight Media, he would target the core of the Judson family’s empire. Judson Pharmaceuticals. He would tear the entire family down until their name was nothing but a forgotten whisper in Regal City.

Meanwhile, Larissa’s secretary, Ursa, had been about to greet her new boss when she saw the gesture. Larissa, in full view of everyone, had drawn a hand across her throat while looking directly at Lucius Lincoln.

Ursa froze, her voice turning robotic. “We’re screwed. Our new CEO is… bold.”

Leila, standing beside her, asked, “What’s wrong, Ursa?”

Ursa sighed heavily. “Didn’t you see what Ms. Judson just did? She openly provoked Lucius Lincoln in front of everyone. It’s like she’s trying to speed up our company’s demise.”

Leila, however, remembered that it was precisely this boldness that had saved her.

“But… Ms. Judson already made an enemy of him. Playing nice wouldn’t have changed anything.”

“That may be true, but you don’t pour gasoline on a fire,” Ursa said, exasperated. “Unless she’s telling the truth–that she really is Field of Lari–I have no idea how we’re supposed to win the rights to ‘Heaven’s Will‘ today.”

Leila’s eyes widened. “What did you just say? Ms. Judson claims she’s Field of Lari?”

Ursa nodded. “Yeah. Do you believe it? Because I certainly-”

Before she could finish the word “don’t,” Leila was nodding vigorously, her face lit with excitement. “I

believe her!”

Ursa was speechless.

“It all makes sense now,” Leila murmured, mostly to herself. “No wonder she was so confident about securing the rights. To think that the author I admire most is the same person who saved my life…”

Ursa stared, dumbfounded. She actually believed it? Leila’s unwavering faith planted a seed of doubt in her own mind. Could it be true? Could Ms. Judson really be Field of Lari?

She glanced back at Larissa, who had already dismissed Lucius’s murderous glare. Ignoring him completely, she ascended the stairs to the second floor, heading for the Blessing Suite where Haskell was waiting.

Just then, Torrin spotted her and bolted from his own private room. He sprinted down the hallway, so focused on reaching her that he didn’t see Avril emerging from the Blessing Suite until he slammed

right into her.

“Ouch!” Avril cried out, tumbling to the floor,

Torrin ignored her, intent on continuing his pursuit. But before he could take a step, a hand gripped the corner of his jacket.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Avril demanded. “What? You run into someone and just walk away? Have you no shame?”

“You just want money, don’t you? Fine!” Torrin snapped, pulling out his wallet. He flipped it open, revealing a picture of Larissa, a few coins, and not a single bill.

He froze. This was awkward.

Avril had already pushed herself up, brushing off her dress. Seeing his empty wallet, she scoffed. “Not a dollar to your name and you try to throw money at me? How pathetic.”

Torrin’s face turned crimson. “Don’t talk nonsense. I’m a Dillon! I have plenty of money, just no cash on me! I’ll transfer you later!”

“No, you’ll pay me now. And you’re taking me to the hospital for a CT scan!”

“Are you insane? I barely touched you!”

“Of course, I need one! I’m delicate! Even a small injury could be serious!”

Not wanting to waste any more time, Torrin stormed back to his room. “Sharon, give me a thousand dollars!” he demanded.
