Chapter 905
What would Zachary do?
He found himself dreaming after passing out from drinking too much.
In his dream, he was locked in a fierce battle with Serenity, shouting at her, “It’s not that I need you, Serenity. I could get rid of you anytime! Don’t regret it when it happens!”
Serenity looked at him coldly before turning to leave.
“Serenity! You can’t leave me! You’re mine! I need you!”
His instinct was to pull her back, refusing to let her go.
He grasped her tightly and leaned in for a passionate kiss, as if trying to imprint himself onto her…
“Splash-”
Just as Zachary was deeply entangled with Serenity in his dream, he flipped over and fell out of the deck chair, landing in the pool.
The icy water enveloped him instantly.
His dream shattered, and the fiery passion that had ignited within him was extinguished the moment he hit the water.
F*ck!
It was freezing!
There was so much water!
Why was he in the water?!
Zachary was taken by surprise as he fell into the pool, choking on a couple of mouthfuls of water. Once he regained his senses, he quickly swam to the edge and climbed out.
Profanities escaped his lips.
“What’s happening? Who threw me into the pool?”
Wiping the water from his face, he shouted.
The lights surrounding the pool glowed softly, creating a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.
No one answered his shout because he was alone by the pool.
Only a deck chair remained on the other side, along with a blanket that had fallen; half of it was submerged while the other half stayed dry.
Zachary cursed again.
Even without asking, he knew he was at the York residence. Just that day, he had swum in this very pool and forced his…
Nana pretended to be sick. There was no one except her who had the courage to ask someone to place him at the edge of the pool. He was simply feeling down and chose to go drinking. How could Nana do this to him?
Zachary sobered up the moment he fell into the pool. He walked around the pool, returned to the deck chair, and tossed it into the water. He also kicked the blanket that had covered him into the pool. After that, he walked into the house drenched.
The lights in the lounge were still on. Zachary entered and saw his Nana sitting on the couch. With her reading glasses on, she was leisurely reading the newspaper. Beside her was her walking cane, which she mostly used to swat her grandchildren.
“Oh, what happened? Why is our eldest young master back all wet? Did you go meet Poseidon for a game of chess?”
Zachary wore a gloomy expression and said nothing. Water continued to drip from his clothes, and when he finally stopped, a large puddle formed beneath him.
“Did Poseidon not tell you to stay and be his son-in-law? Besides, you claimed you didn’t need Serenity.”
Zachary frowned and approached her with a dejected look. He stood in front of Nana, dripping water all over the floor. Grandma May set down the newspaper, picked up her walking cane, and swung it at Zachary.
Zachary jumped back a few steps.
“Nana!”
“Step back. Don’t pee on my feet.”
“It’s not urine, Nana! It’s water!”
