Married at First Sight Chapter 906

Chapter 906
Zachary wore a grim expression that couldn’t be more pronounced.
Still, he lacked the courage to face another beating from Nana’s cane. Taking her cynical comment to heart, he retorted coldly, “Nana, I never said Serenity isn’t the only girl for me.”
There was no way he would ever say such a thing.
Serenity was the only one for him.
He desired no one but Serenity.
“So you never said that?”
Momentarily taken aback, Zachary hesitated before replying, “I might have mentioned it in my dreams. How did you know, Nana?”
Could it be that it didn’t only occur in his dreams?
He had a huge argument with Serenity and uttered some unthinkable things in a fit of anger, which somehow ignited deeper feelings within him….
“Nana, I–I had quite a bit to drink. What did I say or do to Serenity while I was intoxicated?”
If he had been drunk enough to use force against Serenity….
Jesus!
Zachary needed to stop his thoughts from spiraling further.
Alcohol could truly complicate matters!
He was inebriated.
Grandma May set down her cane and said, “How am I supposed to know what you did to Serenity? You were rambling after downing several bottles. I thought you needed help to sober up. How do you feel now? Is your mind clear?”
Zachary paused before answering, “I’m sober.”
Grandma May’s method of sobering him up could have dire consequences if he awakened too late. He might end up needing to reconcile with Serenity in Heaven.
“Can drowning your sorrows really solve your problems?”
Zachary shook his head. “At least I can forget my troubles for a while.”
“Are your troubles still present now that you’re awake? Or do they feel worse? You can say and do anything while drunk.” He might

“You might think it’s just a dream, but you could be acting it out in real life.”

Zachary turned as pale as a ghost.

He anxiously asked, “What happened to Serenity, Nana?”

“I don’t know.”

Grandma May’s intimidation tactic was effective, but she had no idea how Serenity was doing since it was Josh, not her granddaughter-in-law, who drove her inebriated grandson home last night.

Zachary spun around to leave.

“Come back! What time do you think it is? She’ll give you attitude if you wake her up at this hour.”

It was five o’clock in the morning, still well before dawn.

“Also, change out of those wet clothes. You look like you just took a bath in your outfit.”

Ignoring her, Zachary continued to walk out.

“Josh was the one who took you home last night.”

Grandma May had to be honest before her drunken grandson approached Serenity looking like that.

Judging by his pale face, Zachary must have done something to Serenity in his dreams. She would likely be confused if someone pounded on her door first thing in the morning.

Suddenly, Zachary halted and quickly turned back to Grandma May.

“Josh drove me home? Did I do anything to Josh?”

Fuming, Grandma May smacked his arm and scolded, “God knows what you did to Josh. He left right after dropping you off. He didn’t even come in for a drink.”

Zachary looked dejected.

Grandma intentionally asked, “Zachary, what happened in your dream? Josh is your most trusted friend. He dropped you here and then ran away. Did you confuse him with Serenity?”

“Nana!”

Zachary hissed through gritted teeth, “I don’t remember anything!”

His mind was fixated on asking his

Two best friends are out at Neon Nights. He needed a drink after Serenity proposed signing a new contract with him. She needed time to adjust to his status as the heir of the Yorks. While she would attempt to adapt to his world, she wouldn’t force herself if it wasn’t right for her. If it wasn’t meant to be, Serenity hoped Zachary would also refrain from pushing the agenda and would let it go.
