_ZIYANDA MTUNGWA_

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window, the morning sun streaming in through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. I stretched, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. Today was a new day, a new chance to get what I came for.

As I got out of bed, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My eyes looked tired, but my resolve was stronger than ever. I thought about Nhlanzeko, about the baby, about what I wanted.

I took a deep breath and began to get ready, my movements deliberate. I chose a simple outfit, one that made me feel confident. As I made my way downstairs, the smell of breakfast wafted up, and my stomach tingled with anticipation.

The kitchen was bustling, the Ndwandwe family already seated at the table. Mkhatshwa looked up, his eyes piercing, but I didn’t flinch. I greeted them, my voice steady, and took a seat.

The breakfast was tense, the conversation stifled. I ate slowly, my eyes locked on Nhlanzeko’s, trying to read him. He met my gaze, his expression unreadable.

As we finished, Mkhatshwa cleared his throat. “We’ll get the DNA test arranged, Ziyanda. Until then, let’s focus on getting you settled.” I nodded, a small smile on my face. I was in this for the long haul.

The morning sun streamed in, casting a golden glow over the room. I felt a sense of calm, of purpose. I was here, and I wasn’t leaving without what I wanted. As I stood up, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out, my heart racing as I saw the message.

“We have a shoot tomorrow, make sure you here by the morning”, I clicked my tongue in frustration. How can I leave here? I don’t want to leave, but I will go to the shoot then come back.

I walked back to my room, there’s nothing to do here, it so boring and not knowing lot of people make things worse. I layed on my back then got busy with my phone. I wish and hope this baby become, Nhlanzeko’s.
