Chapter 319
“I’ll have someone investigate immediately,” Crispin said.
“Besides Thatch and Valeria, no one else would want to save him,” Haskell mused. “But they’re in no position to help anyone right now. This means whoever took Draven has other motives.”
He had planned to move Draven to his private island until Crispin could confirm whether he was truly his biological brother. But now, it seemed someone was planning to use Draven against him. The most likely culprits were his relatives within the Palmer family. All he had to do was wait for them to make their move.
“Understood. I’ll focus the investigation on Solomon and Fraser Palmer,” Crispin confirmed.
Haskell went to his office first. After dealing with the problems left behind from the month Draven had been in charge, he checked the time. It was already noon.
He called Larissa.
“Larissa, what are you up to?”
“Just left the auction. Did you finish dealing with Draven?”
“Not yet. I’ll tell you when I see you.”
“Alright. Where are you? I’ll come to you.”
“At the office.”
“Okay.”
After hanging up, a faint smile touched Haskell’s lips. The daily treatments had become the part of his day he looked forward to the most.
[Honey, I got this number just for you.]
After sending the message, Avril handed the phone back to Larissa with a mischievous grin. “Was that Haskell on the phone? I won’t interrupt your lunch date–he’d kill me. I’ll just wait for Torrin to fall into my trap.”
Larissa raised an eyebrow. “So you’re diverting the disaster onto yourself?”
Avril waved a hand dismissively. “Oh, it’s fine. I don’t have much going on. I’ll keep him occupied for you. It’ll be something to do!”
Just then, Avril’s own phone vibrated. She glanced at it and broke into a wide grin. “He took the bait!”
Larissa couldn’t have been more pleased. “Great. He’s all yours, then.”
“Leave it to me!” Avril declared, patting her chest. “I promise Torrin will never bother you again!”
After dropping Avril off, Larissa drove to the Palmer Group headquarters. She parked by the curb and called Haskell.

Chapter 319
“Haskell, I’m here. Where are we going for lunch?”
“I’ve already ordered food. We can eat in my office. Wait downstairs; I’ll send Crispin to get you.”
“Sounds good.”
Hanging up, Larissa grabbed the medical kit she kept in her car and walked into the lobby of the Palmer Group tower, taking a seat on a sofa in the waiting area.
Two minutes later, Crispin approached her.
“Ms. Judson.”
“Crispin.”
“Mr. Palmer is waiting for you upstairs.” Crispin led her to the private executive elevator. “This is the access card for this elevator. From now on, you can use it to come directly upstairs whenever you
visit.”
“Thank you,” Larissa said, accepting the card.
The elevator ascended silently to the top floor. Crispin led her to the CEO’s office, knocked, and spoke into the intercom. “Mr. Palmer, Ms. Judson is here.”
The door clicked open instantly. Crispin pushed it open. “Please, Ms. Judson.”
