Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 318
Chapter 318
“Yes, you are that bored,” Torrin retorted. “You love making fun of me.”
Sharon admired the pristine dessert. “Well, you seem to be quite skilled at this delivery job. I just wonder how your ‘reflection‘ is coming along.”
“What do I have to reflect on? What’s wrong with pursuing true love?” Torrin declared defiantly. “You can tell Dad I’ll deliver food for the rest of my life before I give up on Larissa!”
Sharon applauded slowly. “How noble. In that case, you can keep on delivering.”
“I don’t believe Dad would let me do this forever,” Torrin muttered. “Whatever, I’m done with you. I’m going to find Larissa.”
He turned and hurried back toward the Midnight Suite.
Watching his retreating figure, Sharon’s friend remarked, “Your brother may be a fool, but he’s certainly devoted to that Miss Judson.”
Sharon just smiled. “It’s just the thrill of wanting what you can’t have.”
Torrin returned to the Midnight Suite to find it empty. He groaned and ran a hand through his hair, then tried calling Larissa.
No answer.
He resorted to sending a text.
[Larissa, I told you to wait for me! Why didn’t you?]
[Is it because you saw me delivering food again? Are you embarrassed by me?]
[Don’t worry, my dad won’t make me do this forever! He’s just trying to force me to give up on you, but I never will!]
In her car, Larissa’s phone buzzed incessantly. She glanced at the screen and saw a flood of messages from Torrin.
She sighed. It seemed even Torrin’s own father couldn’t stand him anymore if he was willing to banish his son to food delivery.
“What’s wrong, Larissa?” Avril asked, noticing her frown.
Who could possibly trouble her so much?
“Nothing, just messages from Torrin. It’s one of those situations where not replying is annoying, but replying would be even more annoying.”
Hearing this, Avril’s eyes lit up. “I have an idea! If you don’t mind, let me solve this problem for you!”
“Oh? And how would you do that?”
“Give me your phone, and I’ll reply for you,” Avril proposed. “I guarantee that before long, Torrin will never bother you again!”

Larissa knew ignoring him wasn’t working. She tossed her phone to Avril. “Fine, he’s all yours.”
Avril took the phone, scrolled through Torrin’s messages with a disdainful sniff, and began typing
rapidly.
[Honey, I’m deleting this number soon. Contact me on my new one!]
She then sent Torrin her own phone number.
At the Nectar of Dawn, Regal City’s most famous entertainment club, Crispin hurried out and slipped into the driver’s seat of a black luxury car.
He turned to Haskell, who was resting in the back with his eyes closed. “Sir, the men who were poisoned said someone else took Draven away early this morning, before we got there.”
Haskell’s eyes opened, a thoughtful look on his face.
Someone had taken Draven? Besides him, who else would be looking for Draven, and for what purpose?
