Faith, Solomon’s sister, glanced at Avril. “Are we really going to let a cripple lead the Palmer family? People will laugh and say we have no one else.”
“Exactly,” Garrick said. “Avril, if you don’t know what you’re talking about, just keep quiet. The next heir will definitely be my brother.”
Solomon snorted. “We’ll see about that. It’s not over yet.”
