The Girl in the Mirror’s Price Novel Chapter 6

Stole My Name to Date A Billionaire by Mark Twain 6

Chapter 6

Chapter 6

She wore the club’s fitted uniform, hugging her waist tight.

It was Kaia.

She’d lost a ton of weight.

Back to that fragile, delicate little white-lotus look-the version Grayson had fallen for online.

Grayson spotted her, froze for half a second, then looked away.

Kaia approached the table, head down, silently pouring wine.

When she got to Grayson, her hand “slipped.”

Half the red wine splashed straight onto his expensive slacks.

“Oh my god! I’m so sorry, Mr. Blackwell!”

Kaia immediately dropped to her knees, pulled out a pristine handkerchief, and frantically dabbed at his leg.

“I didn’t mean to-I’ll clean it up right now…”

Grayson frowned, clearly annoyed.

But looking at her like that, his reprimand seemed to catch in his throat.

And in that split second-

The private room door slammed open. A man in a server’s uniform rushed in, face twisted with rage.

Nobody had time to react.

A gleaming knife shot straight for Grayson.

“Grayson Blackwell! GO TO HELL!”

It happened too fast.

The Kaia kneeling on the floor moved as if she’d known it was coming.

Without hesitation, she threw her thin back in front of Grayson.

Thud.

The blade sank into flesh.

Kaia let out a muffled cry, color draining from her face as she collapsed backward.

Grayson caught her.

Blood spread rapidly from the wound on her back, soaking through her pale uniform.

Security tackled the afterker immediately

The room erupted into chens, Screams everywhere,

Bin Grayson just stood there, staring down at Kata bleeding in his arms, eyes chaving vistently

He clearly hadn’t expected this girl had expelled to take a knife for him.

Then

His gaze cut through the chaos and landed on me.

That look was complicated, Searching. With a trace of scrutiny and disappointment I couldn’t quite read.

Because the moment that knife flashed,

My first instinct had been to step back,

The chaos lasted only seconds.

Grayson snapped back, barking orders,

“Get the car! Hospital! Now!”

He scooped Kala up in his arms, didn’t spare me another glance, and rushed out.

Just as he was about to carry her through the door-

Kaia, cradled carefully in his arms, slowly opened her eyes.

She silently mouthed a few words at me.

“Ser-a phi na.”

“You’re. Fucked.”

Then she closed her eyes again, burying her face in his chest.

My lips curved ever so slightly.

Ah. So that’s where you were going with this.

རྗེ་རྡོ་རྗེ

But Kaia, sweetie

The ones who are fucked? That’s you and Grayson.

Three days later, Grayson called, voice ice cold.

“Come to the hospital. We need to talk. Time to clear some things up.”

I went.

In the VIP room, Kaia lay propped against the headboard, pale and fragile, tears in her eyes.

Two girls stood beside her-

Chapter 6

My old roommates.

Grayson stood by the window, backlit, expression unreadable.

“Gray,” Kaia’s voice trembled as she pulled a phone from the nightstand..

“This phone has all our chats. From December 3rd last year-the day you added me-until before school started. Every message. Every day.”

“The photos are me.”

“The voice is me.”

“The one who said she missed you, loved you, waited for you-was me.”

“You were too upset to look that day. Will you look now?”

The two roommates jumped in immediately:

“It’s true, Mr. Blackwell! Kaia was glued to her phone chatting with you in the dorm every single day!”

“We can all vouch for it! Seraphina was super fat back then-we never saw her dating anyone online!”

Grayson took the phone and scrolled for a long time.

The room was suffocatingly quiet.

Then, slowly, he looked up at me.

“Seraphina. Is what they’re saying true?”

I met his eyes calmly.

“Yes.”

A thread of crimson crept into his eyes.

“So you never loved me? Not once?”

“So when that knife came at me, you backed away?”
