Married at First Sight Chapter 937

Chapter 937
Jasmine ordered food delivery for Mrs. Lane and handed her the store key. She said, “Mrs. Lane, you can close the store and go home whenever you like after dinner. You can either keep the key or pass it to your missus.”
“My missus mentioned she won’t be available for the next few days, so I’ll come by to help in her place. I’d like to keep the key,” Mrs. Lane replied.
With a smile, Mrs. Lane added, “Ms. Sox and Mr. Bucham, you two should go ahead and eat together. I can manage the store.”
Mrs. Lane had been assisting in the store for quite a while and remembered the book prices well. Even alone, she could handle the store operations smoothly.
Jessica felt relaxed as she left with Josh, and they headed to Wiltspoon Hotel for dinner.
“How has Zachary been lately?” Jasmine asked with concern.
While driving, Josh replied, “He’s busier than ever, working around the clock like Superman. I can barely keep up with him. Those under him have been grumbling, expecting me to advise him.”
“Right now, I can’t do that. Only Serenity has the ability to help. But it’s been days since they last met. Grandma May has forbidden Zachary from seeing Serenity, wanting the couple to take some time apart.”
“They finally got to meet today. I wonder how their conversation went. After Zachary came back, he didn’t share his problems with me but just continued working hard. At noon, he went to the Stones and seemed to cheer up a bit afterward.”
“Even so, he’s been working very hard. I think he’s lost a few pounds.”
Josh turned his head to glance at Jasmine, then smiled and said, “Jasmine, we shouldn’t follow their example. We must stay affectionate and trust one another. I won’t lie to you, and you shouldn’t hide anything from me either.”
“Who wants to be lovey-dovey with you?”

“What can I hide from you?” Josh chuckled. “I think we’re now lovey-dovey. But lovey-dovey isn’t just about saying ‘I love you’ every day; it’s demonstrated through the little details in life.”

Jasmine replied, “All I see is you trying to win over my parents whenever you can. You even treat my brother like he’s your own.”

Josh, naturally charming and eloquent, effortlessly gained favor with Jasmine’s family.

“Because they’re your family, and they will be my family in the future. It’s only natural to treat them well,” he explained.

“How shameless of you! I haven’t even promised you anything, yet you’re acting like they are your family.”

Josh responded without hesitation, “One must be shameless when pursuing their future wife. It’s Zachary’s concern for his dignity that led to his current situation.”

Jasmine found herself unsure whether to laugh or cry.

“So you see Zachary’s situation as a warning, don’t you?”

“I’m simply stating facts. If Zachary had taken my advice, he and Serenity wouldn’t be in this predicament,” Josh said.

Jasmine asked, “Are you very experienced in relationships?”

“Not really. You’re the first and only girl I truly love,” he admitted.

Josh saw through her question. Although he once had a crush on a female classmate, that was long ago, and he couldn’t even remember what she looked like.

Later, he became too busy for a relationship and didn’t meet anyone who captured his heart. Initially, he hadn’t shown any interest in Jasmine either. However, when Zachary and Serenity’s unexpected marriage occurred, he helped investigate Serenity’s background and, in the process, learned about Jasmine’s as well.
