Married at First Sight Chapter 936

Chapter 936
“My boss unexpectedly showed some leniency and attended the social event on his own. I’m feeling quite relaxed, so I thought I’d come by to pick you up after work. Let’s grab a meal together. I made a reservation at Wiltspoon Hotel and even pre-ordered the dishes, so once we arrive, we can have them served right away without any waiting.”
“I also bought two movie tickets. After dinner, we can catch a film. It’s not often that I have this much free time.”
Ever since Josh became Zachary’s administrative executive, he has been extremely busy. He hardly ever has a night without social events to attend. His workload peaked during the time when Zachary and Serenity’s relationship was flourishing, as Zachary would delegate company matters to Josh while he spent time with his wife.
Just as Jasmine was about to speak, Josh suddenly turned and dashed out.
Jasmine was momentarily stunned before asking Mrs. Lane, “I haven’t said anything, have I? Why did he run out so abruptly?”
Mrs. Lane replied, “I was just outside and saw Mr. Bucham getting out of the car with a bouquet of flowers. He spotted the crowd in the store, so he put the bouquet back in the car. Then he took off his coat and came in.”
“So now, he’s likely going back for the bouquet.”
Mrs. Lane smiled and added, “Mr. Bucham really cares about you. You’re as fortunate as the missus.”
However, at the mention of the missus, Mrs. Lane’s smile faded. She sighed and said, “I wonder what the missus has decided. Mr. Zachary has lost his appetite because of her, and he’s looking quite thin. We all feel terrible for him.”
Of course, it was Mr. Zachary’s mother, Mrs. York, who felt the most sympathy for him. Since Mr. Zachary was at fault, Mrs. York didn’t want to cause any trouble for the missus. Additionally, Old Mrs. York was still

According to Old Mrs. York, the couple should resolve their conflict on their own. No one should interfere unless Zachary specifically requests help from the elders. “Zachary and Seren are having a tough time. Although Liberty is the one on a diet, Seren has also lost a few pounds,” she noted. Serenity didn’t allow this situation to disrupt her diet; she had likely become slightly thinner due to being preoccupied.

“Ms. Sox and Mr. Bucham, please take care of yourselves,” she added. Jasmine then asked, “Mrs. Lane, do you think Josh and I are well-matched?” The Buchams had strict criteria for choosing marriage partners. “Yes, you both are well-matched in appearance,” she replied, leaving Jasmine speechless.

Ever since her parents and aunt learned that Josh was pursuing her, they had urged her to accept his affection quickly or risk losing out. Even Shawn had told Jasmine that Josh was a great guy, which made her feel pressured as if rejecting Josh’s love would lead to consequences.

Josh put on his coat again, holding a bouquet of flowers as he entered. Approaching Jasmine, he handed her the bouquet and said warmly, “Jasmine, these flowers are for you.” Jasmine accepted the bouquet, replying, “Thanks.”

“I’m glad you like it,” he responded. He then took a red Tiffany box from his pocket, opened it, and presented it to Jasmine. “I thought this charm bracelet would suit you, so I bought it.” He gently took her hand and placed the bracelet on her wrist.

Jasmine didn’t decline the gift, knowing she couldn’t do so without consequences. Although Josh often appeared cheerful and more approachable than Zachary, he had a domineering side. After receiving such an expensive present, she felt the pressure to think of an appropriate gift in return so she wouldn’t feel indebted to him.

As the saying goes, “A good deed deserves another.”
