Married at First Sight Chapter 921

Chapter 921
Hank sped away in his car.
While driving home, he couldn’t stop cursing Liberty. Jessica was the sweetest and kindest person he knew. Hank had no regrets about divorcing Liberty!
Upon arriving at his rented apartment, Hank noticed a familiar car parked downstairs. His frustration was about to boil over.
It was his sister.
Here she was again.
Hank raked his fingers through his hair in annoyance. He had better head inside.
Both he and Jessica were out of work, and it was evident that Zachary was out to get him. Did Zachary have a hand in his sister and brother-in-law losing their jobs as well?
If so, Hank had inadvertently dragged his sister down with him.
As he stepped outside the door, he could hear the arguments taking place inside.
Since the company had let both Jessica and Hank go, they left the office together. However, Hank had asked Jessica to get out and catch a cab midway through their journey, needing some time to vent.
Understanding his need for space, Jessica took a cab home.
She was not in a good mood either.
Hank had always looked out for her when she was his secretary, and she had enjoyed a good income. Losing her job suddenly filled Jessica with anger.
Returning to her rented home, she found her sister-in-law and Lucas there. Jessica gave a faint greeting before heading to her bedroom.
Walking into her disheveled bedroom, she found her cosmetics and skincare products scattered across the dressing table and floor. Her lipsticks were broken in half, and various skincare creams covered the surface.
Red doodles adorned the walls, floor, and duvet cover, making her see red.
“Mom!”
Jessica shouted loudly.
Mrs. Brown entered and asked, “What’s wrong? Why do you have to scream like that? I’m not deaf; I can hear you.”
“Mom, look at my room. Did Lucas do this? He’s such a naughty boy. I’ve told you many times not to let him into Hank’s and my room. Just look at what he did to my cosmetics and skincare products. He completely messed it up.”
Chelsea entered the room and assessed her son’s handiwork. With indifference, she said, “You can clean it up. You’re an adult and an aunt. How can you be upset about this with a four-year-old?”
“Lucas is just a little boy. He doesn’t know any better. He played with your things, thinking they were toys. That’s how he plays when he comes here. Liberty never complained.”
Liberty would lock the bedroom door to prevent Lucas from coming in.
Besides, Sonny had plenty of toys. Lucas would rather fight with Sonny over toys than create chaos in Liberty’s room. Liberty would always clean up after Lucas and never made a fuss about it.
Liberty had always been patient.
After the divorce, Sonny’s custody went to Liberty. Additionally, Jessica had not given birth to any children, so there were no kids in the family and thus no toys available.
At four years old, children are active and mischievous. Toddlers at this age can’t sit still for even a minute. Without any toys around, Lucas had to find his own entertainment. Hank didn’t usually lock doors, so Lucas simply turned the doorknobs to let himself in.
Chelsea came over to vent to her mother about job hunting. With both she and her husband out of work, their expenses were skyrocketing. Additionally, the couple had been arguing—she criticized her husband for taking too long to find a job, while he accused her of being unhelpful.
