Married at First Sight Chapter 920

Chapter 920
Hank had long since lost interest in Liberty. He felt that her weight had overshadowed any redeeming qualities she once had. However, after Liberty shed a significant amount of pounds, she looked better than before, leaving Hank uncertain about his previous opinions.
Liberty had been beautiful before the birth of their son, equal to Jessica in every way.
“Jessica tends to overthink. We were once married, after all. As long as we stay in touch, she’ll likely misinterpret things. Don’t take it personally, Liberty,” he said.
If only Liberty still loved him.
Hank felt a boost to his ego with two women vying for his attention.
But that was merely a figment of his imagination.
Liberty had stopped loving him a long time ago.
Hank was conflicted about this reality.
Though he was the one who betrayed Liberty, it bothered him that she had moved on emotionally.
He hoped that his life with Jessica would improve post-divorce, while he secretly wished Liberty would struggle.
However, reality demonstrated that Liberty was thriving more than he was.
“Liberty, I’m currently unemployed. Finding a new job isn’t easy with Zachary targeting me. Given our long marriage and our son, can’t you help me out?”
“How much did you invest in this restaurant? I assume it’s less than a hundred thousand dollars. I’m offering over a million dollars for the divorce settlement. Can you lend me the remainder?”
“Jessica and I are planning our wedding, and with the expenses for food, decorations, and entertainment, I’m short on cash right now.”
“Please lend me the money. I promise to pay you back once I find a new job. We share Sonny, so you have nothing to worry about regarding repayment.”

Turning on her heel, Liberty unlocked the restaurant door and stepped outside with a bucket of water. She set the bucket down in front of Hank and instructed, “Bend over and look into the water.”

“What am I supposed to see?” Hank asked, confusion evident on his face.

“Look at how shameless you are! Why should I lend you my money? If you can’t afford a wedding, don’t have one. What does that have to do with me? Hank, do you think I’m still the same Liberty I used to be?”

“You killed the woman who loved you, who would do anything for you, and who tolerated everything about you.”

“Get lost! Leave and don’t ever come back!” Liberty shouted as she lifted the bucket to splash water at Hank.

Hank quickly retreated, yelling, “Liberty, I’m still Sonny’s father. When he grows up, he’ll learn what you’ve done to me and will hate you for being so hard on his father.”

“If you won’t lend me the money, I could take over your restaurant. I promise I can do a better job than you.”

Liberty advanced again, trying to douse Hank with the bucket of water, but he managed to dodge her.

Raising her arms, she threw the bucket at him. This time, Hank’s quick reflexes failed him, and he was hit.

After tossing the bucket, Liberty grabbed the broom by the door and struck Hank with it.

He ducked and dodged a few blows before jumping into his car and driving off.

As he fled, he shouted, “B*tch! You’re a b*tch, Liberty! No man will ever want you now that I’ve left!”
