Married at First Sight Chapter 913

Chapter 913
“Um… Would you like to see our properties?”
Zachary was referring to the houses he had purchased before their marriage.
Most of the properties he acquired were villas featuring front and back gardens.
Zachary only invested in properties located in highly sought-after catchment areas. Although he was single at the time, he anticipated that his family would eventually pressure him about marriage. He knew there would come a time when he would start his own family. To ensure his future children had access to quality education, he bought houses in neighborhoods with excellent schools.
His future children would have the opportunity to study wherever they wished.
“Aren’t you busy with work?”
“Work takes a backseat when I’m with you.”
Serenity replied, somewhat reluctantly, “It should at least be on a weekend when neither of us has to work.”
She didn’t want to disrupt his busy schedule.
Zachary was merely testing the waters. Now that he received a response, he could relax a bit.
Serenity’s willingness to visit the houses he bought indicated that she still considered him her husband.
In her eyes, they remained a family, despite their current separate living arrangements.
“Okay. I’ll pick you up from your sister’s on Saturday morning. Can you ask her to make me breakfast too?”
“Sure! It’s not like my sister ever lets you leave without a meal,” Serenity replied.
As she stood up to collect Sonny, Serenity added, “I’m heading back now. You can get back to work.”
Zachary quickly rose and asked hopefully, “Can we have lunch together?”
He glanced at the time; lunch was still two hours away since it was only ten o’clock.
Of course, lunch could be flexible.
“No, I need to take Sonny back to my sister’s. Take

“Take care of yourself. Don’t overwork. You might want to avoid alcohol before saying something foolish,” she advised.

Zachary was left speechless. Had someone betrayed him by informing Serenity about his drunken remarks?

The truth was that no one had betrayed him. In the past, when he felt jealous, he had said and done things to Serenity while intoxicated. She was well aware that alcohol made Zachary more talkative.

“Here, take this, Serenity.”

Zachary handed her an envelope containing his entire asset. Serenity studied his eyes for a moment before accepting it. As they walked together, she carried Sonny out of the luxurious presidential suite.

“I’ll take Sonny downstairs. He might be too heavy for you,” Zachary offered, taking the child from her arms.

The couple took the elevator down.

“How’s your hand healing?” he asked.

“It’s almost completely healed. I’ve been back to my crafts since yesterday. I couldn’t rush my clients’ orders from last year, so I contacted them. I held onto the orders for those willing to wait and refunded those who couldn’t,” she explained.

Since most clients were referred by Zachary and others, they were not in a hurry to receive their orders, resulting in only a few opting for refunds.

“Don’t wear yourself out,” Zachary said, his concern evident.

Honestly, he couldn’t understand why she chose to put herself through such stress. Zachary was more than capable of providing her with a luxurious lifestyle, yet Serenity insisted on earning her own money. The income she made in a month was enough to cover the cost of his mother’s handbag.

His mother had never worked a day in her life, as she came from a wealthy family. All Tania did was manage her inheritance wisely to yield a significant profit.
