The furious and resentful Serenity, unable to escape, retreated into the house and locked herself in a guest room. She pulled out her cell phone, hoping to reach out to her sister or best friend for assistance, only to discover that the battery was dead.

Zachary did not press Serenity when she isolated herself in the guest room.

Josh nodded. “I’ll call him now.”

He knew Zachary very well.

“Answer it,” Jasmine urged, eager to help with the call.
Josh answered, and Jasmine leaned in closer to listen to the conversation.
“Josh, I need your help.”
Zachary said wearily, “Serenity is really upset. I can’t calm her down. I don’t know what to do. Josh, please tell me. What should I do? She wants to leave me. She’s

“If she wants to leave you, she’ll do it openly. She won’t sneak away. Serenity never runs when things get tough; she confronts issues between you two directly and honestly.
“Let her return and talk to her sister. Allow her to calm down. This is the most important thing you can do.”
Panic washed over him again, and he whispered urgently, “I can’t do it. I’m afraid to do it. If she leaves, it will be hard for me to see her again. She’s my wife, and she should live where I live. I’m not imprisoning her; she’s just staying in our home!
“She’ll leave me. She once said that a true farewell happens without words. She’ll slip away quietly without disturbing me. If I let her out of this villa, she’ll pack her bags and disappear. How will I ever find her then?”
