Married at First Sight Chapter 818

Chapter 818
Serenity exited the room.
Zachary followed closely behind her, remaining silent as he trailed her.
She descended the stairs, and he followed her down.
She stepped outside, and he accompanied her out.
In essence, he had become her shadow.
Serenity approached the villa’s side gate and attempted to open it, only to find it locked.
Turning to him, she coldly commanded, “Give me the keys.”
Brandt, one of the bodyguards, along with the other servants, maintained their distance, not daring to speak to them.
They all recognized Serenity’s fury.
Even her words were icy.
Zachary remained her shadow.
Zachary retrieved the keys but, instead of handing them to her, tossed them far beyond the gate.
He shrugged and said, “I don’t have the keys.”
Serenity felt an overwhelming urge to explode with anger.
She desperately wanted to grab him by the collar and give him a good beating.
She glanced at Brandt and the others.
Brandt quickly replied, “Don’t look at me. I don’t have the keys either.”
Even if he did, he wouldn’t give them to her.
The others hurriedly shook their heads. “We don’t have the keys either. Don’t look at us.”
Have mercy!
Serenity realized that as long as Zachary refused to let her out, none of them would open the door for her, even if they had the keys.
She assessed the height of the gate and walls.
The gate was somewhat higher, making it difficult to climb over.
The walls appeared to be about nine feet tall.
The walls surrounding his villas were consistently built to that height.
However, this was no surprise, as it aligned with Zachary’s style. He did not

like the intrusive gaze of others. The tall walls could shield him from prying eyes and safeguard his privacy. Serenity had trained in kickboxing, yet she was unsure how to scale a nine-foot wall. She turned and strolled around the courtyard, searching for a ladder. At last, she discovered one in the greenhouse. Brandt was rendered speechless—he should have hidden it. Serenity was moments away from picking up the ladder to climb the wall when Zachary interjected, “Honey, I’ll handle the heavy lifting.” He swiftly grabbed the ladder from her and rushed toward the wall. Jim, observant as ever, quickly moved a high stool for Zachary to stand on. Without hesitation, Zachary tossed the ladder outside. Serenity was left speechless. “Zachary York!” she shouted through clenched teeth. “You bastard!” All he seemed to know was how to infuriate her. If he had simply allowed her to leave and take a moment to cool down, they might have had a civil conversation. Instead, he refused to let her go—he was effectively placing her under house arrest!
