Married at First Sight Chapter 728

Chapter 728
“Mrs. Lewis wants Duncan to marry a woman whose family has at least several billion dollars in assets. She believes that only such a woman is worthy of him.”
Duncan himself had a net worth in the tens of billions.
Mrs. Lewis considered her youngest son exceptional in every way, except for his scarred face. Since he was so remarkable, she believed only an equally impressive woman would be deserving of him.
Josh thought Mrs. Lewis seemed friendly, but in reality, she was rather condescending. During a banquet, she only engaged with women of similar status and looked down on everyone else.
Perhaps Duncan was well aware of his mother’s expectations and found it challenging to find a girlfriend who would meet her approval, leading him to give up on dating altogether.
If Duncan were present, he would likely say, “I really don’t like anyone, which is why I’m not dating.”
“By the way, are you pursuing Ms. Sox or her younger brother? When I returned from my business trip, I heard you were inviting Drake to dinner frequently and even taking him to races. You even lent him your race car.”
Zachary leaned closer to Josh, smiling as he said, “Josh, I’ve heard some gossip about you. Want to hear it?”
Josh scoffed, replying, “Who could possibly out-gossip me? I’m already aware of it. People see me with Drake and assume I have a thing for young, handsome men.”
Every time Josh invited Drake to dinner, Jasmine came along too; so why didn’t those people notice her?
Josh was using the brother-in-law approach to woo his future wife!
“Ms. Sox doesn’t dislike me, but I believe she has reservations about my background. That’s something beyond my control. Many women envy my wealth, but Jasmine seems to look down on me for being overly rich and…

doesn’t want to date me.

“Most women tend to dislike their boyfriends for being poor, but the girl I like dislikes me for being rich. That’s why my only option is to start with Drake, who idolizes me. He shows up as soon as I ask him out.”
“Ms. Sox is worried that her brother will betray her, so whenever I invite Drake to dinner, she tags along. This way, I’ll have my chance to perform in front of her.”
Zachary was left speechless.
He had always thought Josh was good with women, but it turned out he was no better than Zachary himself.
Josh always had the right words and provided insightful analysis on Zachary’s relationship issues.
“Is Serenity attending the company’s annual dinner?”
“Of course!”
“I’ll invite Jasmine again later. If she doesn’t want to come with me, I’ll ask Serenity to help convince her.”
Josh planned to make Jasmine his date for this year’s company annual dinner, hoping she would be his companion for the long term.
“Since you asked, my wife and I won’t disappoint you. Let’s go. My wife has probably already left the house. By the way, which restaurant do you usually go to? Serenity mentioned they’re going to the one you took them to.”
Upon hearing this, Josh smiled and said, “I knew Jasmine liked that restaurant.”
“Let’s go. I’ll lead the way. We can text Duncan when we arrive. He doesn’t have a crush and only thinks about making money all day. He earns a lot but has no wife to help him spend it.”
Zachary agreed.
Poor Duncan. He had been abandoned by his friends.
He was left all alone.
Duncan had thought they would become the three most eligible bachelors in Wiltspoon, but he was the only one remaining.
