Married at First Sight Chapter 711

Chapter 711
Who was here bright and early in the morning?
Serenity went downstairs and found the keys to open the main door. Stepping outside, she noticed a figure standing at the gate. The person was carrying two bags, and it looked like he was a food deliveryman.
“Morning, Ms. Hunt,”
Mr. Zen greeted her cheerfully.
“Oh, it’s you. Good morning.”
Serenity hadn’t realized it was the lobby manager from Wiltspoon Hotel.
Holding up the bags, Mr. Zen smiled and said, “Mr. York called me last night to order two sets of breakfast. I’m here to deliver the food at the requested time. Sorry to bother you so early, Ms. Hunt.”
Serenity wondered when Zachary had found the time to order breakfast from Mr. Zen since she had been with him all night.
Zachary frequently used Wiltspoon Hotel for deliveries as well.
Even though he enjoyed discounts as an employee of York Corporation, he shouldn’t be spending all his money at the hotel.
Maintaining a smile, Serenity opened the gate and thanked Mr. Zen. She took the breakfast and asked, “How much is it, Mr. Zen? I’ll pay.”
Zachary had mentioned that he only paid the deposit and had a mortgage for the villa. Even after saving more money, he went on to buy a house in Brynfield, so he likely didn’t have much left in the bank.
Yet, he was spending money on breakfast from Wiltspoon Hotel.
In the past, Serenity often picked up breakfast for him or cooked for him.
“Mr. York will cover the cost,”
Mr. Zen insisted, unwilling to let Serenity pay.
“Mr. York is my husband. We’re family, so his money is my money. It doesn’t make a difference who pays. You know me, Mr. Zen. Please tell me, how much is it? I’ll pay.”

“won’t ask for a large discount.” Seeing Serenity’s insistence, Mr. Zen provided a price. It was appropriate enough to cover the cost of breakfast—balanced neither too high nor too low.

“I don’t have cash. Can I use Apple Pay?” Serenity asked.

“Sure,” Mr. Zen replied. He retrieved a portable device from his pocket that accepted cards and Apple Pay, a smart move on his part. He had brought the payment device along in case Mr. York didn’t wake up early, as Mrs. York would inquire about payment if she came out to collect the food.

Serenity tapped her phone on the device and thanked Mr. Zen before heading into the house with the breakfast prepared by the chef from Wiltspoon Hotel.

As she walked in, she found Zachary coming down the stairs.

“You’re up!” she exclaimed. She made her way to the dining room and set the breakfast delivery on the table. Afterward, she turned and entered the kitchen to grab plates and cutlery. She arranged the food on the plates, ensuring they wouldn’t have to eat directly from the disposable containers.

“Next time, let me know what you’d like for breakfast. I usually wake up around this time and can cook for you. Ordering food deliveries from Wiltspoon Hotel can be costly,” she suggested.

Zachary, busy buttoning his cuffs while Serenity talked, walked over and pulled her into his arms. After a quick kiss, he gently replied, “I don’t want you to wear yourself out, so I ordered breakfast. You enjoy the food there. It may be expensive, but it’s worth it to see you savor it.”

“I know you have a good income,” Serenity said, “but you also have a mortgage. Plus, you send me a lot of money for household expenses. Since we don’t have children yet, there’s really no need to give me so much. You have expensive tastes too. Sure, you get what you pay for, but we should…”

“Save some money.”
