Married at First Sight Chapter 710

Chapter 710
Clive’s and Zachary’s bodyguards followed silently, making them resemble a ghostly entourage as they walked ahead. Just before entering the elevator, Clive halted.
“Zachary,” he said quietly.
Zachary turned to face him.
Clive paused for a moment before continuing, “Stop siphoning off my business.”
Zachary replied casually, “Clients have the option to change their minds before finalizing a deal. Some even back out after signing. That’s just how business works. You can’t accuse me of stealing your clients. You should acknowledge that Stone Group lacks the strength to sway clients away from York Corporation.”
“Business is business. Personal favors are something else entirely. Don’t mix the two.”
Clive retorted, “Zachary, you have some nerve.”
Zachary maintained his nonchalant demeanor. “Of course, I do. But you… You’ve been married for years. When are you planning to have a baby? Is something wrong? Since you’re Serenity’s cousin, I can recommend a specialist.”
“Wrong? Not at all. I’m as healthy as can be. My wife and I want to enjoy a few years as a couple before having kids. There’s no rush.”
Clive was nearly infuriated.
Yet, he realized that he wasn’t the only one curious about the situation. The world was also speculating whether there was an issue with him, his wife, or both, given the absence of a child.
“I need to go. You don’t have to see me off, Mr. Stone,” Zachary said as Sam pressed the elevator button. Zachary then stepped into the lift with his security detail.
Clive remained outside the elevator, shouting, “Who’s seeing you off? I’m going home!” He couldn’t believe Zachary had taken his personal elevator!
Clive made the decision to head home.

Clive and his wife discussed the possibility of having a baby. They had been happily married for years and cherished their time together, but they were aware that time was passing. While Clive’s parents did not pressure them to start a family, the Lafayette family had been encouraging them to consider having children.

Each time Clive and Alice visited her family, her father would bring up the topic of babies, and her mother would often call Alice into another room for a chat about it. It seemed the focus was always on children.

Zachary, on the other hand, was indifferent to Clive and Alice’s decisions about starting a family. He did, however, want to have a baby with Serenity. Nana constantly nagged him about wanting a great-granddaughter.

Zachary assured himself that he wouldn’t pressure Serenity into having a daughter; he would love their child no matter the gender. If they had a son, he imagined the boy would be as cute as Sonny. In fact, Zachary believed their child would be even more handsome and charming than Sonny because he felt he had better looks than Hank.

The two CEOs returned home with dreams of fatherhood in their hearts. Serenity was fast asleep, unaware of Zachary’s return. He leaned in to kiss her, but desire overwhelmed him during the kiss, tempting him to take her on another intimate journey.

Serenity thought she was dreaming. The next morning, she woke up staring at the ceiling, caught between dreams and reality. She wondered if she had truly experienced what happened last night or if Zachary had taken advantage of her while she slept.

Turning to Zachary, Serenity pinched his sleeping face and joked, “You must have had your way with me while I was asleep, you naughty wolf!”

Zachary had to go to work that day, but since Mrs. Lane was not around, Serenity found herself…

She got up, got washed, and went downstairs to prepare breakfast for her husband. Halfway down the stairs, she heard the doorbell.
