Married at First Sight Chapter 666

Chapter 666
Alice’s uncle was a doctor specializing in alternative medicine.
Whenever a family member felt unwell, Alice would consult her uncle for a remedy.
Clive, however, could not tolerate the unpleasant taste of alternative medicine.
As a result, he took care of himself and tried to avoid getting sick, often hiding from his wife whenever he had the occasional sniffle.
Serenity’s concern for Zachary mirrored Alice’s concern for Clive. He reassured Serenity, “Don’t let your nerves overwhelm you. Would you like to go to the Buchams’ residence? I can drive you there.”
“Thank you, Clive,” she replied.
Clive then turned to his wife, saying, “Wait for me at home, Alice. I’ll take Serenity to the Buchams’. I don’t feel right having someone else drive her.”
Alice responded, “Sure, go ahead.”
“Clive, Alice, the chauffeur can take me if you have other plans,” Serenity suggested.
“What’s going on?”
Liberty had just pulled her son out of the shower when she overheard her sister speaking in the hallway. With Sonny in her arms, she stepped outside the room and asked a question.
Noticing the bag in her sister’s hand, she inquired, “Where are you headed, Seren?”
“Zachary’s sick. I need to see him, Liberty.”
At the mention of Zachary, Clive and his wife exchanged anxious glances at the stairway. Fortunately, their mother and sister were on the first floor, so they could not hear Serenity’s words.
“He’s sick? Is it serious? Does he need to be hospitalized?”
Liberty asked anxiously, “Did he overexert himself?”
For her sister to rush there immediately, the man must be in dire condition.
Liberty’s thoughts began to race. What would her…

What would you do if the unthinkable happened to Zachary? The couple had only been married for a few months, and their wedding had been hastily organized.

“Don’t worry, Liberty. It’s just a cold. He tried to push through it, but it got worse. I’m concerned about him, so I need to see him. I’ll return once he’s feeling better.”

“I’m on my way to the Buchams’ residence now, Liberty. His colleague will arrange a private plane for me.”

Hearing that her brother-in-law had caught a cold eased Liberty’s tension somewhat. She replied, “Then hurry.”

Clive interjected, “I’m driving Serenity to the Buchams’, Liberty.”

“Alright, thank you, Clive.”

Clive and Liberty were born in the same year, but Clive was a few months older.

“Don’t mention it.”

Clive, Alice, and Liberty walked down the stairs with Serenity.

“Aunt Audrey,” Serenity called out, needing to inform Mrs. Stone of her departure. “My husband isn’t feeling well. I have to go take care of him for a few days, so I might not make it back for the party tomorrow night. I’m really sorry, Aunt Audrey.”

The Stones were hosting the party exclusively for the sisters, and Serenity regretted that she would be unable to attend.

Mrs. Stone responded with concern, “How is your husband doing now? It’s alright; you can go care for him. Don’t feel pressured to rush back to the party if you can’t. I don’t want you to wear yourself out. Your sister and Sonny will be here, anyway.”

“It’s a bad cold and fever. He’s a reckless and stubborn man who prefers to endure things on his own. I worry that his illness might…

“It will worsen if I’m not there to watch him,” she said. Mrs. Stone replied, “It’s the same for all the men. How are you getting there?”
