Married at First Sight Chapter 623

Chapter 623
Jasmine hurried to Shawn’s family home.
After arriving, she sent a text to Serenity, asking her to wait at the shop, assuring her she’d return in half an hour.
[Sure.] Serenity replied with a meme.
Mrs. Lowe was preparing to leave for a social gathering. Her evenings were typically filled with game nights, social events, or accompanying her husband to business dinners.
When she noticed her son’s ride parked outside, Mrs. Lowe was surprised to see her niece emerge from the car. She smiled and asked, “Jasmine, what brings you here with Shawn?”
Turning to her son, who had just exited the vehicle, she added, “Your dad mentioned you disappeared right after work. Shawn, your father is busier than ever; you should be helping him.”
Her husband had informed her that the partnerships between Lowe Enterprise and York Corporation had been abruptly terminated for unknown reasons. York Corporation had chosen to end these collaborations.
In fact, York Corporation had pulled out just minutes before two projects were finalized.
In business, there is always a risk of projects falling through.
However, York Corporation’s blatant termination of partnerships and aggressive stance against Lowe Enterprise was particularly alarming.
The collaborations between Lowe Enterprise and York Corporation were minor since the two companies operated in different sectors, yet York Corporation was sending a strong message that placed Lowe Enterprise under scrutiny.
Many were curious whether Lowe Enterprise had angered York Corporation.
No one would dare confront York Corporation, except for Stone Group. This was because Stone Group and its CEO were successful and on par with Zachary. Challenging York Corporation would be a reckless endeavor for Lowe Enterprise.

The corporation, as it stood, was not even ahead of the Stone Group. There were individuals wagering on the longevity of Lowe Enterprise in comparison to York Corporation. Mrs. Lowe was aware that her husband had addressed the public, clarifying that there was no animosity between Lowe Enterprise and York Corporation. However, York Corporation had yet to release any statements.

Her husband had been attempting to arrange a meeting with Mr. York before the year ended, but Mr. York would need to consult his schedule in the new year. The esteemed Mr. York was busy with work, making it challenging to secure an appointment. Mrs. Lowe remained optimistic, believing that an appointment could still be arranged next year. During the last social event, Mr. York had shown a fondness for her son, and their brief exchange helped solidify her son’s position as the heir to Lowe Enterprise. Therefore, Mrs. Lowe did not view the company’s short-term challenges as a significant concern.

“Mom, I went to look for Jas after work,” Shawn said. Mrs. Lowe admonished him, “You’ve always loved following your cousin around since childhood. You’re in your twenties now, yet nothing has changed.”

“Aunt Rachel, are you heading out?” Jasmine asked as she approached her aunt, admiring her appearance. “Your makeup looks fantastic tonight, Aunt Rachel! You look twenty years younger. We could pass for sisters when I stand next to you.”

Mrs. Lowe reached out and dabbed at Jasmine’s lips. “You always know the right things to say, smooth talker! I’ll look younger without makeup if you can bring me good news, like finding a good man in your life.”

Jasmine smiled back. “Don’t worry, Aunt Rachel. I expect a big gift when I get married.”

“I have many nieces and nephews, but you’re my favorite. I promise to give you the biggest gift when you tie the knot.”

“I guarantee you’ll have the wedding of the century!”

“Don’t rush to leave, Aunt Rachel. Let’s go back inside; I need to discuss something with you.”

“What’s wrong?” Mrs. Lowe inquired as she headed back inside.
