After a brief pause, Zachary cheerfully gestured to Clive and said, “Since you’re here, I’d like to treat you to dinner. Would you do me the honor?” Clive glanced at his clients. They promptly responded, “It’s our honor to dine together, Mr. York.” It wasn’t a big deal; they could enjoy dinner without discussing business. “Well, I can’t refuse such a warm invitation,” Clive replied, agreeing to join Zachary for dinner. He thought to himself, ‘People do change when they experience love.’ Who would have thought Clive would see the day when Zachary treated him to dinner? He wanted to pinch himself to check if he was dreaming. Zachary was remarkably easy to converse with today. The group gathered for dinner, and the community would be astonished if they learned about this. Mr. York’s newfound interest in finding ways to pamper his wife only heightened curiosity about her. His reputation as an uxorious husband quickly spread throughout the community.
