Mr. York’s circle would have Wiltspoon firmly in their grasp.
“Jasmine, what are your thoughts on Mr. Bucham?”
Elisa sought information about Zachary’s wife through Josh, as she needed complete closure.
Jasmine shrugged. “Not much. We get along, but I don’t feel that love-at-first-sight connection. I believe I should invest in the relationship if I want it to progress, but after learning more about him, I feel he’s out of my league. I think it’s best to keep my distance.”
Josh would be speechless if he heard this.
Elisa responded, “Why not go out with him if you two get along? I’ve heard a lot about him from my brother. He’s a reliable man. Since Josh was willing to go on a blind date with you, it shows he wants to take things seriously.”
“Don’t worry about him being out of your league. Your family owns numerous properties. In fact, your family owns half the street of commercial stores up north, and your aunt is Mrs. Lowe. How could you not be a good match for Josh? He isn’t even in line to take over the Bucham family; he’s just the nephew of the head of the family.”
“Jasmine, I’ve been obsessed with Mr. York for years. Although there’s no chance of us being together, I need to know who I lost to. Go ahead and date Mr. Bucham. Gather information from him for me. I can offer you money for it. Think of it as a paid assignment.”
Jasmine was speechless.
Serenity stared at Elisa in confusion.
Why did she feel that Elisa was fishing for the latest gossip about Mr. York?
“I’ll give dating a try if Mr. Bucham asks me out.”
Jasmine held a positive view of Josh.
“Let me tell you, Jasmine. You should hold onto Josh. He’s a great guy, and when you two are together, you’ll have the latest gossip right at your fingertips.”
Jasmine was left astounded.
She was speechless. Serenity erupted in laughter. Once she realized what she had said, Elisa covered her mouth and joined in the chuckling. Meanwhile, Josh, who was hard at work for Zachary in the office, felt a heat rising in his ears. Checking his reflection in his phone’s selfie mode, he noticed they were red. “Who’s talking behind my back?” Josh muttered to himself. It seemed he was getting quite the roasting, as his ears turned crimson.
