Married at First Sight Chapter 501

Chapter 501
“I’m not as petty as you are.”
Zachary replied cautiously, “You’re upset.”
“Yes, I am upset. I sent you so many text messages, yet you’re heartless enough not to respond to any of them.”
As she exited the car, Serenity pulled Zachary out with her. She placed the umbrella in his hand and said, “You should return to work. I need to go.”
She was still hungry.
Serenity hadn’t had the chance to drink the hot cocoa he made for her that morning, and now her stomach was aching.
“I’ll watch you leave from here.”
Since Elisa and her mother had come looking for Serenity, they must have wanted to discuss Mrs. Stone’s sister.
Zachary couldn’t keep Serenity for long.
Serenity settled into the driver’s seat and waved at Zachary, saying, “Let me know in advance if you’re coming over for lunch. If not, there won’t be any leftovers for you.”
“Sure.”
Zachary decided he wouldn’t go to the shop if Mrs. Stone and her daughter were there.
Serenity soon drove away.
Standing there, Zachary watched her car disappear before turning on his heel to head back inside.
Unbeknownst to him, Josh had been taking turns with Callum spying on the couple in front of the office building through a pair of binoculars.
As for the senior executives called to the meeting, Josh briefly discussed some work-related topics before quickly adjourning the meeting.
“If only I had super hearing.”
Josh set down the binoculars. Since they could only see but not hear, they had no idea what the fool was saying to his partner.
The young couple must have been engaged in something inappropriate.

the car.

Who would have guessed that an uptight, no-nonsense man like Zachary could be capable of such behavior?
All hail the power of love.
Wait, it should actually be the power of jealousy.
Zachary only acted recklessly because of jealousy.
Callum smiled and said, “Zack is on his way back. I should leave. Don’t forget to return the binoculars to Zack’s drawer, or you’ll face the consequences if he finds out.”
With that, he made a quick exit.
Josh quickly rushed out of the meeting room with the binoculars, returning them to Zachary’s drawer before heading back.
He then walked out as if nothing had happened.
Mr. Chaplin pretended not to notice anything amiss.
Josh encountered Zachary by the elevator.
“Is the meeting over?” Zachary asked, appearing in good spirits.
“It just wrapped up. Did you have anything to add?”
“No.”
Zachary brushed past Josh, then paused. He turned his head to inform Josh, “Ms. Sox has a high fever. She’s in the hospital.”
Josh inquired calmly, “Really?”
After Zachary left, Josh quickly pulled out his phone and called Jasmine.
He checked on her, ensuring she was okay. Upon learning that Jasmine was receiving IV drips in the hospital, Josh said, “I’ll head there right now to keep you company, Ms. Sox.”
“It’s fine, Mr. Bucham. My mom is with me.”
“I see. Please take care and stay hydrated.”
