Married at First Sight Chapter 476

Chapter 476
Olivia cried out and wiped her eyes before reprimanding Matthew. “Matthew, Sonny is your cousin. How could you beat him nearly to death?”
“Mom, Matthew understands he did wrong. He’s just a child who doesn’t know how to hold back,” Chelsea defended her son.
“Serenity, Matthew was wrong to hit Sonny, and his father already taught him a lesson yesterday. He recognizes his mistake. Later on, I’ll take him to buy some fruit to visit Sonny and apologize,” she continued.
“Regardless, we’re still family. We won’t press charges for the damage you caused to my home, so you shouldn’t insist on my son taking full responsibility either. It’s normal for children to fight, but it wouldn’t be right for adults like us to interfere.”
“Besides, Lucas said Sonny hit him first. Matthew was just protecting his brother, just as you’re protecting your sister now.”
Serenity scoffed. “Chelsea, could you be any more blind? Who made the first move? The surveillance camera in your house captured it all clearly.”
Chelsea fell silent, feeling choked.
Once again, she internally berated her husband, ‘That useless man! He didn’t delete the footage beforehand, and now it’s in the hands of the police.’
With the surveillance video as evidence, she couldn’t justify shifting the blame.
“Tell me, what’s your purpose for coming here today?”
Unable to place the blame on Sonny, Chelsea shifted the conversation, asking Serenity why she and her group were present.
She glanced over at the York family. They didn’t need to do anything; their mere presence was enough to make them appear intimidating.
Her in-laws were terrified and dared not speak.
They were utterly useless!
Chelsea scolded her in-laws silently in her mind.
Spotting Grandma May, Chelsea couldn’t help but exclaim, “What are you staring at? Why do I keep seeing you everywhere?”
Grandma May raised her chin defiantly and remained silent.
“Are you mute?”

Chelsea loathed the old woman’s shamelessness from yesterday; it nearly led to a significant setback due to Serenity’s retaliation.
Grandma May continued to hold her chin high, responding arrogantly, “I only speak to humans.”
“You old hag, how dare—”
Zachary and his brothers stood up.
Each glared fiercely at Chelsea.
Frightened, Chelsea instinctively leaned closer to her husband, rendered speechless.
Zachary warned her coldly, “I dare you to insult my nana one more time!”
Nana was their beloved grandmother; anyone who disrespected her became the enemy of the entire York family.
Suddenly, Mr. Brown stood up and walked over to his daughter.
He slapped her.
The sound of the slap echoed loudly.
Chelsea looked at her father in shock.
“Dad.”
“Shut up if you don’t know how to speak. No one will think you’re mute if you just stay quiet!”
Mr. Brown was infuriated with his daughter.
Chelsea held her cheek where her father had struck her, feeling deeply aggrieved.

Mr. Brown addressed Grandma May apologetically, saying, “My daughter has embarrassed herself. She often speaks without thinking. You are a generous person, so please refrain from arguing with her.”

George echoed his father-in-law’s sentiment and then invited Zachary and the others to take a seat.

“Serenity, I cannot deny that my son is in the wrong. The fault lies with my failure to teach him properly. I sincerely apologize to you. Later, my wife and I will take Matthew to visit Sonny and ensure he apologizes to him.”

“If you need us to cover Sonny’s medical expenses or any mental distress he may have suffered, please let us know the amount. We will fully compensate you.”

Chelsea, feeling anxious, quietly muttered, “Our house was damaged, and we lost tens of thousands. How are we going to make things right with them?”
