Married at First Sight Chapter 455

Chapter 455
Jasmine smiled and remarked, “If you don’t have any admirers, I’d think something’s wrong with you.”
Josh replied, “I’m perfectly healthy in every respect!”
“Mr. Bucham, you appear healthy on the surface,” she said.
Josh opened his mouth but struggled to find a response.
He couldn’t possibly suggest she should check if he was healthy, could he?
Flirting in this manner on a blind date felt inappropriate, so Josh chose to remain silent.
Normally articulate, he found himself at a loss for words around Jasmine.
He thought, ‘This woman, known for fainting at banquets, is quite something!’
Grandma May, Mrs. Lane, and Liberty rushed to the hospital as soon as they learned about the incident.
The police completed their statements and departed. Chelsea, George, and Matthew were called to the police station.
This was when Chelsea discovered that her eldest son had caused significant trouble.
She hesitated to inform her brother but confided in her parents instead. However, when Mrs. Brown learned that her eldest grandson had assaulted her youngest grandson, who was later hospitalized, she cried and berated Chelsea. That was how Hank found out.
After Liberty arrived at the hospital, Hank quickly followed with his parents.
As for Chelsea, she was too scared to join them at the hospital, fearing retribution from the Hunt sisters, especially since Liberty had already given her a beating earlier.
Furthermore, Chelsea and her husband needed to report to the police station with their eldest son.
“Sonny.”
Liberty stumbled into the ward and, upon seeing her son in her sister’s arms, rushed forward.
“Sonny!”
She embraced her son tightly.
Seeing the bruises on her son’s face, Liberty reached out and gently touched him with trembling hands. Tears streamed down her cheeks without interruption.
“Mommy!”
Sonny recognized his mother and cried out with a hoarse voice. He then wrapped his arms tightly around Liberty’s neck, sobbing, “Matthew hit me… Mommy, Matthew hit me…”
“Sonny.”
“Mommy, I want to go home. I don’t want to stay at Aunt Chelsea’s house. Matthew and Lucas will hit me…”
Sonny began to cry, pleading to be taken home.
Liberty comforted him through her tears, saying, “Mommy will bring Sonny home. I came here to take you home. You don’t have to go to Aunt Chelsea’s house again. If they dare to hit you again, Mommy will fight them!”
With the comfort from his mother and Aunt Serenity, Sonny’s condition improved significantly. He had stopped crying, but he refused to leave his mother’s side for even a moment, fearful that Uncle George would take him back to Aunt Chelsea’s house.
There, Lucas and Matthew would hurt him.
The little boy was terrified.
“What did the doctor say?”
After calming her son, Liberty wiped her tears and asked her sister with a choked voice.
Fortunately, Liberty had a younger sister with kind in-laws; otherwise, she wouldn’t have known what to do.
“He has wounds on his face and one side of his thigh. We need to apply ice to his face to reduce the swelling. The bruise on his thigh should improve in a few days with daily application of medicated ointment. More critically, we need to address his mental trauma. ‘Matthew is a devil! He beat Sonny up so viciously, even though Sonny is his cousin.’”
