Married at First Sight Chapter 421

Chapter 421
Zachary understood that Serenity was not the type to scream when a man undressed in front of her. Instead, she would watch with enthusiasm, even going so far as to get a little touchy-feely.
Straightening his back, Zachary ceased to trap her in his arms in a suggestive manner.
That tactic wouldn’t work on her.
“Can you sleep with cotton stuffed in your ears?”
Serenity shook her head. “That’s not comfortable.”
She had no way to cover herself if she slept on the sofa, and Zachary could not possibly suggest she sleep on the floor of the guest bedroom. It was also quite chilly tonight.
After a moment of silence, Zachary picked up his glass and headed to his room.
“You can sleep in my room,” he offered.
His deep voice carried softly in the air.
Serenity was taken aback.
Somehow, her outburst had worked.
Zachary paused and glanced back only after reaching the front of his door. Noticing Serenity remained frozen in place, his expression soured as he coldly remarked, “You can sleep on the sofa if you care that much.”
He then entered his room, attempting to close the door behind him.
Serenity quickly grabbed her pillow and dashed over as if in a hundred-meter sprint, placing one foot in front of the door to stop it from closing.
Her lovely face wore a charming smile. “I don’t mind. Not at all.”
Tensing his facial muscles, Zachary shot her an irritated glare.
Serenity paid no attention to him as she bent over, clutching the pillow against her chest, and slipped past his arm to enter his space.
She hadn’t had a good look at his room when she helped him wash up that morning. Now that she was here for the second time, her eyes eagerly surveyed the area.
Zachary maintained the cleanliness of his bedroom and bathroom. His bathroom was immaculate. Nana

It had been noted that Zachary was a bit of a neat freak, and that was evident. After a brief tour of Zachary’s room, Serenity climbed onto the large bed and placed her pillow to claim her spot. She lay down and pulled the covers over herself, relishing the comfort of a bed and the warmth of a blanket against the cold.

However, Serenity had barely been lying down for two minutes when she sat back up. She moved her pillow to the foot of the bed and declared, “Let’s sleep on each end of the bed. I’ll take the foot.”

Zachary approached with a frown. “Are you expecting me to sleep with your feet in my face?”

Serenity was taken aback. It’s not like she had athlete’s foot; her feet were perfectly clean. Zachary looked visibly annoyed. After all, it was his bed, and she was just taking up space. Recognizing that he was in charge, Serenity promptly moved her pillow back to its original position.

“Um… So, can I sleep now?”

“That’s up to you. It’s not like I’m putting toothpicks against your eyelids and forcing you to stay awake.”

Serenity was at a loss for words. Given his stiff tone, it was clear Zachary was not thrilled about sharing the bed. His grandmother had already taken up space, so it only made sense for him to endure the inconvenience caused by her. With that thought in mind, Serenity turned her back to his sour expression and cozied up in bed, feeling justified in her actions.

She had expected to struggle with sleep, but within a few minutes, she drifted off into dreamland. Meanwhile, Zachary sat beside her, watching as drowsiness took over, unsure whether to laugh or cry at the situation. Was she really not the least bit concerned?

Concerned that he might impose himself on her? Perhaps Serenity believed he was gentlemanly enough not to take advantage of her, given his prim demeanor and aloof personality. Zachary had to acknowledge that he wasn’t a pervert who couldn’t control himself, at least when it came to other women. However, he felt a strong desire to be affectionate with Serenity. They had shared kisses, hugs, and had almost spent the night together before…
