Married at First Sight Chapter 411

Chapter 411
Nana dragged her luggage and headed straight for the sofa. Sitting down, she declared, “Zachary, I want to move in with you and Seren.”
Zachary’s expression stiffened. “Nana, you promised me—”
“I’m not causing trouble. Why are you so anxious? What are you worried about?” Nana countered.
She then added stubbornly, “I’ve already been chased out by your dad and uncles. I have nowhere else to go, so I’m seeking refuge with my grandson. Is that not acceptable? Are you going to follow in your dad and uncles’ footsteps and kick me out too?”
Nana sighed. “When you grow old, you become a burden. No matter where I go, I get driven away. What’s the point of raising sons? What’s the point of raising grandsons? It’s far better to have a sweet granddaughter.”
Zachary’s expression darkened. “Nana, my dad and uncles would never chase you away.”
Even if she wanted to move in with him, he wouldn’t allow her to label his dad and uncles as ungrateful.
Nana smiled brightly. “I can’t say it was my daughters-in-law who chased me away, can I? I gave birth to my sons, so no matter how I criticize them, they won’t take it to heart. I didn’t give birth to my daughters-in-law, so how could I speak ill of them?”
Zachary was at a loss for words.
“Anyway, I’ve heard everything.”
Zachary asked, a bit uneasily, “And what exactly have you heard, Nana?”
“I heard your sister-in-law is getting a divorce. This crisis is your opportunity to prove yourself. If you help her resolve the issue, Serenity will think more highly of you. Then, I’ll finally be able to hold my great-granddaughter!”
“I’ve missed out on so many exciting events, so I can’t afford to miss this one. I’m—”

I’m moving in with both of you! If you don’t allow me to do that, I’ll tell Serenity that you’re being unfilial and refusing to take me in even when I have nowhere else to go.”

Zachary’s expression darkened considerably.

“Nana, can you be reasonable?”

“I have no reason to discuss that with you.”

Zachary was left speechless.

“I’ve even brought my luggage over already. If you don’t let me move in, I’ll roll out a rug at your entrance. If Serenity thinks you’re unfilial and decides to stop liking you, you can’t blame me, okay?”

“Don’t worry, I won’t reveal your secret. You’ve been hiding your identity and lying to Serenity for so long. The longer you keep it up, the angrier she’ll be when the truth comes out. I can’t help but feel joy watching this unfold. I can’t wait to see how you’ll handle it then!”

“Ha!”

Zachary struggled to contain his anger. This was his nana! He had to endure it; he couldn’t let his temper flare at all costs! “Fine, fine, fine. If you want to move in, then you can.”

Facing his own nana, Zachary could only wave the white flag in surrender.

“Nana, you must not have eaten yet, right? There are only five minutes left until work ends. You should hurry and get Callum to take you out to eat.”

Nana asked, “Why aren’t you eating? Are you going to Serenity’s shop? Can I come with you?”

“Don’t you want to meet your great-granddaughter as soon as possible? If you keep following me around, you won’t be able to meet her for years.”

“Wow, you’ve seen the light! Did the sun rise from the west? Or am I starting to hallucinate in my old age?”

Nana took out her phone and said to Zachary, “Zack,

“Could you say that again, a bit louder? I want to record it so I can listen to it later when I’m bored and make sure I didn’t mishear,” she said.

Zachary was left speechless.

Nana then glanced at her grandson’s legs twice and asked, “Do your legs hurt?”

Zachary remained silent, his expression sullen.

“It’s only been a few days since I last saw you, Zack, but why does it seem like your face is swollen? Did someone punch you?”

Zachary continued to stay silent, maintaining his dark expression.
