Married at First Sight Chapter 360

Chapter 360
It was likely due to Zachary’s guilty conscience and the signed agreement.
Zachary resolved to find a way to retrieve the copy of the agreement that Serenity was keeping. Not steal it, of course—just take it back. Stealing sounded terrible. How could the heir to York Corporation steal something? Once he got the agreement back, he planned to destroy it.
Zachary, who lacked the courage to hold his wife’s hand, accompanied her on a stroll through the streets all night. By the end, he felt like a free porter, getting into the car with various shopping bags.
Initially, Serenity claimed she didn’t want to buy anything. However, after walking for a while, she discovered a plethora of items to purchase and spent her own money. Zachary wanted to pay for her, but she firmly declined, which left him feeling frustrated.
At ten o’clock that night, the young couple returned to their small apartment.
“Fortunately, I don’t like wearing heels. My feet are so sore after walking for so long,” Serenity exclaimed as she collapsed onto the sofa.
Zachary chuckled and remarked, “Don’t you girls love shopping?”
Although he was a man who never enjoyed shopping with others, he didn’t complain. “Well, yes. Jasmine loves shopping, but I’m really scared to go with her because she can cover the entire city.”
As he mentioned Jasmine, Zachary moved closer and sat beside Serenity. “Serenity, there’s something I want to ask you about,” he said.
Serenity turned to him and asked cautiously, “What is it?”
Since this was Zachary’s house, he could do as he pleased. If he needed to consult her, it must be important.
Zachary hesitated for a moment before asking, “Is Ms. Sox’s family pressuring her to get married?”
“Yes. Why? Are you thinking of…?”

“Are you introducing someone to her?” Serenity asked eagerly.

“Is it your colleague?” she continued. Jasmine’s mother and aunt had always hoped she would marry into a wealthy family, but Jasmine was resistant to the idea. She believed that life in a rich family wasn’t as ideal as many imagined. Jasmine recounted how her aunt faced numerous challenges when she first married into the Lowe family and it took her a long time to establish herself.

“Your company is the largest in Wiltspoon, and it’s said that those who work at York Corporation are among the elite. Your colleague must be exceptionally talented. Please tell me more about him. If he seems suitable for Jasmine, I’d be happy to help facilitate an introduction,” Serenity said, excited at the prospect of playing matchmaker for her friend.

“He’s my colleague, and we’re quite close. We’re the same age, and he comes from a good family. His income is substantial, and he is incredibly honest without any bad habits. Occasionally, he drinks at work events, but he never gets drunk,” Zachary explained.

“He’s also very handsome—tall and fit. He hasn’t had the opportunity to date due to his demanding schedule, and his family is eager for him to settle down,” he added.

After listening to this, Serenity thought Zachary’s colleague sounded promising. She inquired, “Does he have any flaws?”

Zachary paused for a moment before responding quietly, “He can be a bit talkative and has a penchant for drama and gossip.”

Serenity was taken aback. She had hoped to help her friend find the perfect match, but the old saying was true—“nothing is perfect.” Everyone has their shortcomings. The atmosphere grew awkward, but after a brief silence, Serenity smiled sheepishly. “Well, that just means he’s articulate. A love for drama and gossip is common among many people. I consider it a minor flaw,” she said, determined to keep an open mind.

Jasmine will share her thoughts on this tomorrow. If she’s open to meeting him, I’ll let you know. “Then you can arrange for your colleague to meet Jasmine and see if they get along,” Zachary replied with a nod. “Okay.” “By the way, is your colleague from Wiltspoon? Jasmine isn’t planning to move away, so if he’s from out of town, it’s not worth pursuing.”

The Soxes would not approve of Jasmine relocating far from home. “He is from Wiltspoon. Since Ms. Sox is your best friend, I’ll definitely introduce her to the best colleague I can think of. My colleague has no major flaws, aside from being a bit talkative and fond of gossip. He’s also an eligible bachelor.”

Serenity believed that Zachary had good intentions; he would never introduce someone unsuitable to her friend.
