Married at First Sight Chapter 353

Chapter 353
Zachary was in high spirits after inviting his wife out on a shopping date that evening. His work efficiency significantly improved as a result.
When he answered a knock at his door, it was clear to everyone outside that he was in a good mood.
Josh pushed the door open and entered the office.
He was not alone; Remy followed him in.
Remy’s bodyguards waited at the office door. “Boss, Mr. Johnson has arrived,” one of them announced.
Zachary paused his work, stood up, and walked around his desk. “Mr. Johnson,” he greeted.
The two men shook hands as Zachary gestured for Remy to sit on the sofa.
Mr. Chaplin had informed Zachary earlier that Remy was coming, but he hadn’t anticipated that Remy and Josh would arrive together. It seemed likely that the two had met outside beforehand.
Josh went to pour a glass of water for Remy.
After Remy finished the water, Zachary asked in a deep voice, “Mr. Johnson, is there an issue with our partnership?”
As an important partner, Remy could meet with Zachary without an appointment. However, he typically communicated with Josh. Therefore, Zachary assumed that Remy’s visit to his office indicated a problem with their companies’ cooperation. Remy smiled and replied, “Mr. York, there’s no issue with our collaboration. Everything is going smoothly. I’m here to extend an invitation to you on behalf of my eldest brother and sister-in-law.”
Upon hearing this, Zachary smiled back. “Is Mr. Young-Johnson hosting a wedding reception? Has everything with the Lafayettes in Meadspring been resolved?”
“Yes, it has been settled. My brother and sister-in-law returned from Meadspring to attend President Ormond’s wedding. Their wedding date was set long ago. My brother’s wedding will follow his brother-in-law’s, so it’s time to send out the invitations.”
Remy

Ben Young-Johnson had sent an invitation through a courier to his business partners, but Remy personally delivered it to Zachary since he was in Wiltspoon. As Remy was solely responsible for the Wiltspoon branch of the company, he typically remained there. This was why Ben had asked Remy to deliver the invitation in person.

“My eldest brother wanted to come himself, but he was extremely busy with work and had many matters to attend to. Since I was here, he asked me to bring this invitation to you and also extended his apologies,” Remy explained.

Zachary accepted the invitation and replied understandingly, “I understand Mr. Young-Johnson’s situation, and there’s no need for him to apologize. It’s perfectly fine for you to bring it over.”

He opened the invitation and noted the date: the wedding was scheduled for December 26th, just before New Year’s Eve. That was still over a month away.

Zachary could tell that Ben was eager to finalize the wedding arrangements, as he had distributed the invitations quickly. He had heard that Ben and his wife had also married on a whim. Why were these eligible bachelors opting for impulsive marriages?

Perhaps it was due to their demanding work schedules. Holding prominent positions in society with substantial wealth, they likely feared being targeted for their status and money. This may have led them to conceal their identities and marry impulsively.

If a woman could genuinely fall in love with them before knowing of their wealth, it would reassure them that her feelings were authentic and not influenced by financial motives. However, Ben and his wife, Jane Murphy, had known each other for over ten years. Zachary had heard that Ben had set his

He had set his sights on Jane long ago and gradually deceived her into becoming his wife. Zachary reflected on his relationship with Serenity. They epitomized an impulsive marriage, as they had no real feelings for each other when they first met. Before obtaining their marriage license, Zachary was cautious about Serenity, even suspecting she was only interested in his money. However, reality showed that he was being overly cautious and overthinking the situation. “I will definitely attend Mr. Young–Johnson’s wedding,” Zachary promised, confirming his attendance at Ben and Jane’s wedding. Remy smiled and replied, “Thank you, Mr. York.”
