Hank turned to his mother and said, “Mom, go shopping with Chelsea. If you find anything you like, feel free to buy it.”
He then pulled out his phone and transferred five thousand dollars to his mother for her shopping trip.
“Alright. I’ll go shopping with your sister later and pick up some new clothes. Now, hurry back to work and remember to come home early,” Olivia replied.
As she sent her son off, Olivia winked at him, reminding him to pick up some gifts for Liberty after work.
Liberty pushed the stroller over and placed her son inside before saying softly, “I’ll take Sonny downstairs for a stroll.”
“Go ahead,” Olivia said with a warm smile.
Liberty immediately became cautious.
‘If my mother-in-law is acting this way, she must be plotting something against me. More specifically, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law are probably trying to cause me trouble again.’
‘No matter what they ask, I won’t agree.’
With that thought in mind, Liberty decided not to engage with them any further and pushed the stroller out of the house.
Meanwhile, Serenity finished her work and had dinner. Jasmine left for home first, so Serenity packed up the crafts she had completed and called the courier company to arrange a pickup.
After shipping out all the crafts scheduled for the day, she closed the shop early, before eleven o’clock.
Zachary had sent her evidence of Hank’s infidelity at noon, which greatly assisted the sisters. Serenity felt it necessary to thank him again, so she planned to buy him two new shirts.
This time, she aimed to purchase two designer suits. With a handsome face like his, wearing designer suits would enhance his charm even more.
When her husband received compliments for his good looks, it naturally reflected well on her as his wife.
Serenity locked up the store and drove away.
Upon arriving at a well-known clothing brand store, she found a parking spot and sent a message to Zachary as she got out of the car.
Zachary was still engaged in business discussions with clients at the Wiltspoon Hotel when he received Serenity’s message. His expression remained unchanged, but if one looked closely, they would notice the corners of his lips curling up as he read it. His mood clearly brightened.
Serenity: [I’ll give you a new present tonight.]
What kind of present could she be preparing for him?
Zachary felt a sense of anticipation.
Choosing clothes for Zachary was easy since she knew his size; she simply needed to select items in black.
Before long, Serenity emerged from the store with several bags in hand.
As she was leaving, she unexpectedly spotted her mother-in-law, Tania.
Tania was walking and chatting with a friend.
Perhaps sensing Serenity’s gaze, Tania turned to look at her.
Serenity smiled and approached her mother-in-law to greet her.
However, the moment she opened her mouth, Tania took her friend’s hand and walked away, ignoring Serenity completely. It was as if she didn’t recognize her at all.
Serenity’s words caught in her throat.
She stood still, watching her mother-in-law walk away.
When Tania’s friend turned around for a second glance, Serenity quickly pretended to look elsewhere before gathering her composure and walking away.
“Tania, was that girl we saw earlier smiling at us? Do you know her?”
