Married at First Sight Chapter 1054

Chapter 1054
Grandma May gently patted the back of Serenity’s hand as she spoke.
“You and Zack haven’t had your wedding yet. It’s not too late to have a child after the ceremony. You should take this time to enjoy your romantic moments together.”
As long as the young couple wasn’t using contraception, they would eventually have a child.
Serenity responded with a nod. She wasn’t in a hurry and preferred to go with the flow.
“Zack…”
Grandma May suddenly turned to Zachary, who was driving, and asked, “Has Callum made any moves?”
“How would I know? I only focus on what he does at the company. What he does after hours is his business. He’s an adult, not a three-year-old. He doesn’t need his big brother to keep an eye on him.”
Grandma May was taken aback.
“Nana, do you mean Camryn?”
Serenity added, “I’ve met her in person.”
Grandma May had long been aware that Serenity and Camryn had met. She even knew that Serenity had helped Camryn at the banquet but chose to remain silent since Serenity hadn’t mentioned it to her.
When Serenity defended Camryn at the banquet, a sharp-tongued individual called Tania the next day to stir up trouble. After being reprimanded by Tania, Mrs. Walker went around saying that Tania was very protective of her daughter-in-law.
As a result, everyone in their social circle learned that Tania was a devoted mother-in-law. Even though many believed she and Serenity didn’t get along, nobody dared to gossip about Serenity in her presence anymore. Grandma May was particularly pleased with her daughter-in-law’s actions.
Ultimately, a daughter-in-law becomes part of the family. Tania wouldn’t allow outsiders to make thoughtless comments about Serenity.
If the York family wanted to sustain their wealth, they needed to be united.

Harmonious marriages within the family were especially significant. As the saying goes, a good daughter-in-law leads to good children and grandchildren. When Grandma May sought suitable matches for her sons, she emphasized that character, not family background, was what mattered most.

All of her daughters-in-law possessed admirable character traits. Now, as it was time to choose partners for her grandchildren, she continued to apply the same standard.

“What do you think of her?” Grandma May asked Serenity with a smile, pleased with how Serenity had defended Camryn at the banquet.

Serenity was destined to be the matriarch of the York family in the future, and it was important for her to bond with her sisters-in-law.

“I’ve only met her once, so I can’t say for sure. However, I can tell from her words that she’s not as fragile as she appears. Zachary mentioned that she has a story,” Serenity replied.

Zachary suspected that Camryn’s biological father had been killed by her mother in collusion with her stepfather. Losing her father’s protection at a young age, Camryn faced a mother more ruthless than any stepmother. It certainly wasn’t easy for her to get to where she was now.

“She’s Callum’s story to uncover, so let him figure it out. We’ll just observe,” he said.

“Okay,” Serenity agreed, looking eager to witness the unfolding drama.

She believed others had also been following the ongoing saga between her and Zachary for quite some time. Now, it was her turn to watch the stories of her brothers-in-law.

“Nana, what’s the name of Camryn’s flower shop? I’d like to support her business someday when I have the chance,” Serenity inquired.

“The name is quite random. It’s called Spring Blossoms,” Grandma May replied.

Serenity committed the name of Camryn’s flower shop to memory. With someone to converse with, the journey became more enjoyable.

They did not feel that long. Before long, they arrived at Wildridge Manor.
