Everyone breathed a sigh of relief at Zachary’s words.
They had feared he might go back on his promise.

Liberty quickly reassured him, “Don’t worry, Zachary. I’ll take care of Seren for the next few days. I won’t let her drive recklessly or drink alcohol!”
She then added, “If she really wants to drink, I’ll let her have a few cans with me at home. I won’t allow her to go to a bar again.”
“I’ll leave her in your hands,” Zachary replied.
He turned to Serenity and said, “Seren, stay at your sister’s place for a few days, and let me know when you want to come home. I’ll come to pick you up. If you prefer not to live with me, you can stay at the house in Brynfield while I move back here.”
Serenity gazed at him for a long moment and said, “Take care.”
She then got into the car.
“Look after yourself, Zachary. I’ll ensure Seren is healthy and happy when you come to pick her up,” Liberty said.
Serenity was at a loss for words.
Was her sister treating her like a pet?
After Liberty finished talking to her brother-in-law, she got into the car, fastened her seatbelt, waved goodbye to Zachary, and drove off under his watchful gaze.
“Ms. Sox.”
Zachary called out to Jasmine just as she was about to drive away.
“Do you need something, Mr. York?”
Jasmine responded politely.
Zachary pulled a set of keys from his pocket and handed them to Jasmine, saying, “This is one of the Valentine’s Day gifts I prepared for Seren yesterday. It’s a new car since the front of her current one is damaged. Could you please pass the keys of the new car to her?”

“Mr. York, no matter what, I’m Seren’s best friend. I’m on her side. If you want me to speak highly of you, it will depend on your actions.”
Zachary’s gaze was resolute. “I will make Seren trust me again.”
Jasmine smiled. “That’s the spirit. I’ll take my leave now. Please take care of those chickens.”

Jasmine bid farewell to Zachary and drove away.
Zachary stood in front of the villa, watching the two cars disappear from his sight.
Truthfully, he felt terrified inside, but he forced himself to let go, even if just for a moment.
As Josh had said, it was worth enduring a short separation for a lifetime of companionship.

Brandt emerged and called out to him.
Zachary turned his gaze to the large truck parked in the yard and replied to Brandt, “Take the driver to the manor and let Sam handle it. Just tell Sam that Seren wants to raise the chickens.”
Sam was the head butler of Wildridge Manor, and he would arrange everything properly.
