“It’s getting late. You should head back,” Clive suggested.

He turned off the TV, grabbed his car keys, and stood up. “I should get home before my wife starts to worry.”

While Zachary slipped out quietly, Clive’s wife knew he was meeting with Zachary. Alice was likely at home, anxious about the potential for a disagreement between the two.
