Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 542
She had used a similar excuse the last time she was here, when she had deliberately helped Honora
escape.
At the thought, Lucius’s eyes turned icy. He finally looked at her. “Come here.”
Livia removed her mask and sunglasses, tucking them into her purse before walking over.
The moment she was close enough, Lucius yanked her into his lap. “If you’re so worried about other women stealing me away, then you’d better learn how to please me properly.”
Fighting back a wave of nausea, she managed to feign a look of hurt. “I cooked for you myself. Isn’t that enough to please you?”
Lucius stared into her seemingly sincere eyes. If Honora hadn’t told him that Livia had intentionally helped Larissa get her out of here, he might have actually been fooled by her masterful performance.
“What an actress,” he thought with contempt.
But no matter. Her pretty face was still useful, so he would let it slide for now. If the Lincoln family was ever going to truly go legitimate, they would need the help of powerful figures, and Livia was a part of that plan.
“Actually, I came to tell you something else,” Livia said, wrapping her arms around his neck. “My father heard that Larissa is planning to cast Wynn as the male lead in ‘Heaven’s Will‘.”
At the mention of the name, Lucius’s expression darkened. “Wynn?”
Livia nodded. “That’s right.”
“Doesn’t he have a girlfriend named Tawny?” he asked.
Livia was surprised. Lucius, a man who showed little interest in women, actually remembered the name of an actress. It was truly unexpected.
“Yes, he does. She’s the poor girl who was publicly betrayed. It was a huge scandal.”
Lucius was very familiar with the name Tawny. She had been one of the guests at his Mystique Blossom party, one who had caught the eye of a certain VIP. He recalled that after Tawny was chosen, the person who had brought her to the party saw their own status rise considerably, managing to claw their way into the upper echelons.
As for Wynn, he was supposed to have disappeared by now.
Lucius wrapped an arm around Livia’s slender waist, his voice turning sinister. “If Larissa actually uses Wynn, she’s planting a time bomb in her own company.”
“What do you mean?” Livia asked, curious.
Lucius pushed her out of his lap. “You don’t need to know the details. Just do your job.”
Livia stumbled, catching her balance after a moment. She forced a reluctant expression. “Fine. I won’t disturb you then. Remember to eat.”
“Livia, I’ll return the lunchbox when I’m done!” Milton called out.

“Just throw it away,” she replied coolly. “I would never give Lucius a container that another man has
used.”
With that, she straightened her clothes, put her mask and sunglasses back on, and left.
Once she was gone, Milton practically crowed with delight. “If Larissa really casts Wynn in ‘Heaven’s Will‘, that show is doomed to fail! Looks like I’m going to win my bet with her! I can’t wait for the day that woman licks my shoes!”
Lucius silently agreed.
No matter how you looked at it, Larissa was destined to lose. And when she did, licking a shoe would be the least of her worries. He was going to obliterate the entire Judson family. He would make Larissa a plaything for anyone to abuse, a fitting revenge for what she did to his uncle, who was still rotting in prison.
“Milton, you have to livestream it that day!” another lackey added. “Let the whole world see what happens when someone crosses Mr. Lincoln.”
