Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 503
Chapter 503
[Director found. Instead of wasting your time on me, you should be looking for someone who can cure your poison.]
After reading the message, Finley’s hand fell limply to his side. He tilted his face up to the drizzling rain, the cold, damp sensation making him feel utterly hopeless.
His sister… really didn’t need his help at all.
Suddenly, a familiar pain shot through him. The poison was acting up again.
He fumbled in his pocket for the pills his doctor had prescribed and swallowed them down with a bottle of water. The pain, which had just begun to spread, was finally suppressed.
Just then, his phone rang. It was an unknown number.
Finley, feeling weak and defeated, answered.
A harsh voice came through the line. “Finley?”
Finley paused. “Who is this?”
“Solomon Palmer,” the voice said coldly. “Did Larissa poison you, too?”
Finley was stunned. “You mean you also…”
“Cut the crap,” Solomon interrupted. “Do you know how to get the antidote?”
Finley hesitated for a moment before answering. “Only my sister, Larissa, can cure this poison.”
“In that case, Finley, I need you to come to the Palmer estate tomorrow evening and explain the situation to my grandfather.”
“What do you mean?” Finley asked, confused.
“If you want to be cured, be at the Palmer estate at seven tomorrow night. Just tell my grandfather everything you know.”
With that, Solomon hung up, giving Finley no chance to reply.
Staring at his phone, Finley gripped it tightly. Whatever Solomon’s intentions were, this might be his only chance to finally be free of the poison.
Larissa spent the next week adapting the script for “Heaven’s Will“. After countless revisions and polishes, she finally had a version she was completely satisfied with.
She looked at the finished script on her desk, let out a long sigh, and stretched leisurely before emailing the file to Ursa.
Just as she was about to call Ursa to her office, there was a knock on the door.
“Ms. Judson,” Ursa’s voice called out.
“Come in,” Larissa said, looking up as Ursa entered. “Ursa, I’ve just sent you the revised script. Please

arrange to have it submitted for official registration today. We need to get this project greenlit as soon as possible.”
“Of course, Ms. Judson. I’ll get right on it,” Ursa replied cheerfully.
However, she didn’t leave. She hesitated for a moment before adding, “Ms. Judson, there’s one more thing… Leopold is here again. He’s in the waiting room.”
Larissa’s brow furrowed slightly.
“Let him wait,” she said decisively. “Ignore him.”
“Understood, Ms. Judson.”
Then, Ursa remembered something else. “Ms. Judson, about the song recording you asked me to arrange, I’ve taken care of it. When would you like to go into the studio?”
If Ursa had ever doubted Ms. Judson’s abilities before, the recent string of events had made her a true believer. Perhaps Ms. Judson really could write a song that would be an even bigger hit than anything Leopold had ever produced.
Larissa had been so busy she’d almost forgotten. It was a good thing Ursa was on top of it.
Larissa leaned back in her chair and pinched the bridge of her nose. “This Friday.”
For the next couple of days, she would focus on writing a new song to release. After that, all she could do was wait for “Heaven’s Will” to be greenlit.
