Chapter 416
Ursa didn’t press the matter further. She took the signed resignation letters and left the office
Larissa picked up her phone and called Nightveill
Nightvel, I need you to transfer some of our organization’s people over to Starlight Media”
Nightvel sounded surprised. “Boss, isn’t it a bit of an overkill to have our people working at Starlight Media?
She had a point. Their organization was a clandestine global alliance of elite talents–hackers who could breach national defense systems, Pulitzer–winning wear photographers, and stock market wizards who had triggered financial crises on Wall Street
Assigning these top–tier experts to an entertainment company was like asking a quantum physicist to design stage holograms, a nanomaterials expert to improve stage costumes, or a behavioral psychologist to write fan engagement strategies.
But it would also be a crushing asymmetric attack on every other entertainment company.
Larissa chuckled. Think of it as a short vacation for them. Once the “Heaver’s Will” project is complete, the company won’t be short–staffed anymore.”
I understand.”
When Ursa distributed the approved resignation letters, the departing employees were shocked. They had fully expected the new CEO to drag her fest and make the process difficult
This fast? She didn’t even try to convince us to stay?” asked Magnus, the acquisitions department
manager
Ursa sighed. “You all had already decided to leave. Would you have really stayed if Ms. Judson had
asked?”
*Looks like she’s just given up, Magnus said with a smirk, turning to the remaining employees. “See? The rest of you can wait around for unemployment. I’m off to Gale Entertainment tomorrow. Double the salary, here I come.”
A few of the employees who had chosen to stay began to waver, wondering if they had made the right choice. Others remained focused on their work, convinced that Gale Entertainment wouldn’t waste so much money on them for long. They’d probably be laid off within a month, maybe even before their probationary period was over.
Before the end of the day, Larissa visited the main office.
“For those of you who are staying” she announced, “I want you to compile a detailed summary of all the work you’ve done for the company. The more detail, the better. I want it on my desk by the end of the day Friday!
The remaining staff exchanged confused glances, wondering what their new CEO was planning. But since they had chosen to stay, they had no choice but to follow her orders.

Chapter 416
At the Neverending Night, a high–end private club.
Honora had been brought to a luxurious VIP suite on a private floor. Guards stood outside her door, leaving her alone inside.
She stood before the bathroom mirror, her heart twisting in agony as she stared at her reflection. The swelling on her face from the poison had finally subsided, but now it was marred by a deep, bone–exposing gash.
This was all Larissa’s fault. She would destroy Larissa,
She knew Lucius felt the same way; otherwise, he wouldn’t have rescued her from Paxton and his family. Whatever Lucius wanted from her, she would do it, as long as it meant Larissa’s downfall.
And who knew, maybe she could even capture Lucius’s heart in the process. After all, she was Regal City’s most talented belle, far superior to his fiancée, Livia. Her scars were temporary. With the right treatment, her beauty would be restored.
As these thoughts swirled in her mind, she heard a commotion outside the door.
Honora’s eyes lit up.
Lucius was here.
