The Throne of Thorns Novel Chapter 402

Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 402

Chapter 402

Arriving at the Starlight Media building, Larissa went up to the second floor. She walked over to the nearest desk, asked for directions to the CEO’s office, and after a quick “thank you,” made her way there.

Agents, assistants, and PR staff looked up from their work, their eyes following her.

“Who is she?”

“No idea. Maybe a new artist they signed.”

“Her style is pretty unique. Not like anyone else on our roster.”

Larissa pushed open the door to the CEO’s office and frowned.

Unexpectedly, both Finley and Leopold Judson were inside. Finley was leaning back in the executive chair, reading a document while his secretary, Ursa, gave him the latest work report. Leopold was lounging on a soft leather sofa, his impeccably tailored suit accentuating his tall frame. A shadow of melancholy hung over his face.

The moment he saw Larissa, Leopold’s eyes lit up. He shot up from the sofa, his movements urgent and a little clumsy, and rushed toward her. He reached out, his voice trembling with excitement. “Larissa, you’re here.”

His tone was filled with an undisguised joy, as if he had been waiting for this moment for a very long time.

Larissa, however, recoiled as if he were something foul. She sidestepped his touch and walked past him, her expression a mask of indifference.

Her cold gaze fell on Finley, who was still seated behind the desk.

“Finley, Starlight Media is under my management now. What are you still doing here?”

Leopold’s hand froze in mid–air. A flicker of hurt crossed his face, like a puppy abandoned by its owner, and for a moment, he was a pitiable sight. He said nothing, simply lowered his hand and quietly returned to the sofa, his eyes fixed on Larissa. A thousand words seemed to be trapped behind his gaze, all suppressed in the depths of his heart.

Ursa, who had been reporting to Finley, stared at Larissa, her eyes wide with disbelief.

She asked cautiously, “Mr. Judson, is what she’s saying true?”

“Ursa, you can leave us for now,” Finley said, his voice still carrying the authoritative tone. of a CEO.

But Larissa lifted her chin, her eyes cool. “You don’t have to go anywhere. Stay right here. In a few minutes, you can inform the rest of the staff that from now on, I, Larissa, am in charge of Starlight Media.”

Chapter 402

The secretary hesitated, her expression doubtful. No official transfer memo had been

issued.

Larissa pulled out the share transfer agreement she’d signed the day before.

“See this? I am now the largest shareholder of Starlight Media.”

Ursa’s eyes widened as she read the document. “I understand, Ms. Judson.”

Larissa tucked the agreement away and gestured toward Finley. “Good. Now get him out of here.”

Ursa’s face twisted in distress.

No matter what, Finley had been her boss. Even though the company had a new owner, she couldn’t bring herself to personally escort her former superior out the door. She simply didn’t have the heart, or the nerve.

By now, the confident air Finley usually carried had vanished. A bitter smile touched his lips as he looked at Larissa, his eyes filled with pain. “Larissa, do you really have to be like this?”
