Chapter 392
As Torrin passed the spot where Jagger lay groaning on the floor, a hand shot out and grabbed his pant leg.
“You little bastard… You’re not leaving today! I’ve already called my nephew! You’re dead!” Jagger hissed, clutching his phone in his other hand.
Torrin looked down, kicked his hand away, and said, “Fine. I’ll wait. I’m curious to see just how tough your nephew really is.”
Avril’s heart sank. The real power in the Lincoln family lay with Helena and Lucius. If Lucius showed up, Torrin was in serious trouble. She felt a pang of guilt. She had lured him here, and he had fought for Larissa’s honor. She couldn’t just abandon him.
She grabbed the food bag and stood up. “Torrin, you should really go.”
Torrin shot her a sideways glance. “I’m not leaving. I’m a Dillon heir. I’m not afraid of anyone.”
Jagger struggled to his feet, gingerly touching his bruised face. “Still acting tough after being kicked out to deliver food? Fine. You just wait!”
“Whatever,” Torrin scoffed, finding a seat. “I’m waiting.”
Seeing that the stubborn fool was determined to stay, Avril had no choice but to remain as well. Worried they couldn’t handle the Lincolns alone, she sent a quick text to Haskell.
[Haskell, SOS! I’m at Subzero.]
The rest of the bar patrons stayed put, eager to see the drama unfold.
Twenty minutes passed.
“Where’s your nephew? Did he chicken out?” Torrin asked impatiently.
Sharon’s friend groaned inwardly. The Dillons had truly brought a troublemaker home. She frantically texted Sharon again: [This is bad! Jagger called Lucius!]
Jagger checked his phone, about to call his nephew himself, when someone in the crowd shouted.
“Lucius Lincoln is here!”
A moment later, Lucius strode in, flanked by bodyguards. He glanced at Jagger’s battered face.
Jagger scrambled up from his seat. “Lucius, you’re finally here! This punk from the Dillon family beat me like this. You have to teach him a lesson.”
Lucius cast a cold, appraising look at Torrin and tilted his chin. Two of his bodyguards immediately
advanced on Torrin.
Seeing he was outnumbered, Torrin’s bravado faltered slightly. “I’m a Dillon heir! If you touch me, you’re declaring war on my family!”
“Don’t listen to him, Lucius,” Jagger sneered. “The Dillons already kicked him out to deliver food.”
“Even if they hadn’t, I would still touch him,” Lucius said, his voice like ice. He had been reining himself

in for too long as his family tried to clean up its image. First, Larissa had the audacity to attack his family, and now some nobody from the Dillons was doing the same. It didn’t matter that the person being beaten was his useless uncle–it was still a stain on the Lincoln family’s name.
The authority of the Lincoln family would not be challenged, not by the Dillons or anyone else.
One of the bodyguards lunged forward, kicking Torrin hard in the stomach and sending him sprawling to the floor.
Lucius’s patience had worn thin.
“Uncle,” he said, his voice dripping with menace, “he hit you. Now, you hit him back.”
Jagger’s eyes lit up. “That’s my boy!”
He walked over to Torrin, raising his foot to stomp on him.
