The Throne of Thorns Novel Chapter 377

Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 377

Chapter 377

Haskell’s gaze softened as he looked at Larissa, his voice gentle but firm. “Please, don’t worry. I will be taking over the Palmer family very soon.”

“Good. We believe the position of Palmer heir will be yours again,” Gloria said with satisfaction. “And as Larissa’s fiancé, and future husband, you will undoubtedly do everything in your power to protect her.”

Gloria was thoroughly impressed with Haskell and had full confidence in his abilities. Before his accident, any family would have been thrilled to have their daughter marry him. He was exceptional in every way. And according to Sapphira, Larissa could even heal his legs. That was even better.

With Kiernan handing the Judson family to Larissa, and with the support of the Palmer heir, anyone who tried to harm her–be it the Lincolns or what was left of Paxton’s family–would be sealing their own doom.

Gloria then gestured to her five sons. “Larissa, these are your five uncles. As you take over the Judson family, if you ever need advice on business matters, you can always ask them. They may not be on Haskell’s level, but they’ve been around the block. Five heads are better than one.”

The five middle–aged men straightened their backs, making a silent vow to step up their game. They couldn’t afford to look foolish in front of their brilliant niece.

Larissa smiled at her uncles, amused by their suddenly serious expressions. “Thank you. I’m sure I’ll be needing your help.”

They all spoke at once.

“Not a problem! Call us anytime!”

“Actually, you should call me first. I’m the oldest, I have the most experience!” Stanley said, puffing out his chest.

His four brothers stared at him, aghast. A traitor in their midst!

“Are you kidding me?” Levi, the youngest, stepped forward. “Your experience is outdated, Stanley. I’m the one who’s up–to–date with modern business. Larissa, if you need real help, I’m your man!”

The other three rolled their eyes. The oldest and the youngest were shameless.

“Oh, please,” said Tavish. “I was the best at taking care of our sister back in the day. When it comes to real experience, I’m the one to call. Larissa, don’t listen to Stanley and Levi tooting their own horns. If you want reliability, come to me.”

The third brother, Vaughn, wasn’t about to be left out. “Another shameless one! Our little sister always liked me best!”

The fourth brother, Rafe, cleared his throat, adopting a serious tone. “Alright, that’s enough. You’re all grown men. Don’t you think you’re embarrassing yourselves in front of Larissa?”

The other four fell silent, looking like they wanted to throttle him.

Gloria sighed. “Rafe is right. Stop this childish bickering. You’re her uncles, act like it.”

The four men immediately straightened up, their playful squabbling over.

A warmth spread through Larissa’s chest. Instead of worrying about being dragged into her conflict with the Lincolns, the Turner family had immediately positioned themselves as her staunchest allies.

The happy, chaotic scene made Haskell reflect on his own situation. In less than two months, his life had been turned upside down. He, too, had once enjoyed such warmth from his father, Thatch, and from Valeria and Draven. But it had all been a lie, a comfortable facade hiding a dagger aimed at his

heart.

But now, he had Larissa. Haskell could already picture a future with her, a future filled with a kind of happiness he now knew was precious beyond measure.
