The Throne of Thorns Novel Chapter 331

Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 331

Chapter 331

Honora’s outstretched hand froze in mid–air. She stared at Larissa in disbelief, her anger flaring. “Larissa, do you get some sick pleasure from humiliating me? This just shows how low and shameless you are!” she seethed, her voice trembling with rage.

Larissa shrugged nonchalantly. “What’s wrong with being a little low with someone like you? Besides, even though I’m humiliating you now, you can go cry to Finley later and get all his sympathy. I bet you’re feeling pretty happy about that right now.”

Every word dripped with sarcasm, and Honora wanted nothing more than to rip out her tongue.

Noticing that she hadn’t moved to pick up the bottle, Larissa raised an eyebrow. “What’s the matter? Don’t you want the cure?”

She paused, then a look of mock realization crossed her face. “Oh, is it because I’m here? Is it too humiliating to pick it up in front of me?”

“Don’t get too cocky, Larissa! The higher you stand, the harder you’ll fall!” Honora hissed. Bending down, she snatched the sunglasses and the porcelain bottle from the ground, afraid Larissa would take the cure back.

She opened the bottle, saw two small pills inside, and swallowed them in one gulp. Then, she turned to leave.

“Who said just taking the pills was enough?” Larissa called out.

Honora stopped dead in her tracks, whirling around to face her. “Larissa! You tricked me?”

Larissa scoffed. “Trick you? You’re not worth tricking. When I want to take you down, I do it openly, not like you with your pathetic, backstabbing schemes.”

“Then what did you mean?” Honora gritted her teeth so hard they ached.

“Did you forget? When I cured the others at the engagement party, I had to use a needle and let out the poisoned blood,” Larissa reminded her.

Honora remembered. That’s right. That meant she still needed Larissa to treat her.

Taking a deep breath, Honora walked back. “Larissa, you wouldn’t go back on your word, would you? Just finish the treatment. I’m sure you don’t want me hanging around any more than I do.”

“You’re surprisingly self–aware,” Larissa said. “But I think I’ll wait until Leopold wakes up to cure you completely. Don’t worry, I won’t cheat you. Curing you is the only way to make Finley realize just how foolish his choice was.”

With that, Larissa turned and walked away.

Honora stared at her retreating back, her eyes burning with hatred. “Larissa, once I’m cured, you’re dead!”

A sliver of doubt crept into her mind. What did Larissa mean? Could she really wake Leopold up? Impossible! Maybe she could have before, but not after the drugs Honora had been giving him. Not even a god could wake him now.

Still, a sense of unease gnawed at her, and she rushed to the hospital.

Entering the room, Honora went straight to the bed to check on Leopold

“Leopold?”

“Leopold, can you hear me?”

“Are you awake? Leopold?”

After two minutes of calling his name with no response, Honora finally relaxed and sat down on a nearby chair.

“That bitch Larissa actually said you would wake up.”

“I don’t know what tricks she has up her sleeve, but there’s no way.”

“I was just scaring myself.”

Leopold heard her words, and a jolt of excitement shot through him. His sister Larissa said he could wake up?
