The Throne of Thorns Novel Chapter 273

Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 273

Chapter 273

At Larissa’s words, the uninjured guests seemed to snap out of their trance.

“She’s right! We need to get them help immediately!”

“This is no time to be assigning blame!”

The poisoned guests, though they agreed wholeheartedly, were too weak from the venom to speak. Their bodies were wracked with pain, and they could only manage weak groans in

response.

“There’s a time and a place for everything,” Larissa stated, her voice steady and authoritative. “Whether or not I summoned these creatures is a matter we can address later. The priority right now is treating the injured.”

“Ladies and gentlemen,” Haskell added, his expression serene, “I promise that after the victims have been treated, I will give everyone a satisfactory explanation for tonight’s disturbance.”

Just then, a distinguished, elderly man–a renowned figure in the medical community–stepped forward.

“I will perform emergency treatment on the victims now,” he announced. “Then we can transport them to the hospital.”

One of the victims, his face a dark shade of purple, trembled as he struggled to lift a heavy arm. “Doctor,” he rasped, “please, help me first…”

“Please, save me…”

A chorus of desperate pleas filled the air.

Honora’s face was twisted in agony, sweat beading on her forehead. She bit down hard on her lip, but a pained moan still escaped.

Seeing her in such a state, Finley’s heart shattered. He shouted, his voice raw with panic, “Doctor, please, help my sister first! I’ll do anything, just save her!”

The doctor’s eyes swept over the victims, his brow furrowing. There were eight of them in total.

Just as despair began to set in, the Palmer family’s private physician pushed through the

The other doctor’s eyes lit up with relief. “Excellent!”

The two immediately split up, moving quickly to assess the victims and begin emergency

treatment.

But after just two minutes, the renowned doctor’s face grew grim. “It’s too potent. I can’t counteract it. We need to get them to an emergency

The venom is mmediately.”

From the crowd, Draven called out, “It will take at least twenty minutes to get them to a hospital in their condition. By the time they arrive, it might be too late, wouldn’t it?”

He shot a challenging, triumphant look at Larissa.

The bigger the chaos, the better. If even one of these eight people died, Larissa was finished.

He couldn’t wait to see how she would get out of this one, how Haskell would try to save her, and whether Zoltan would risk the family’s reputation to protect his future

granddaughter–in–law.
