The Girl in the Mirror’s Price Novel Chapter 8

Stole My Name to Date A Billionaire by Mark Twain 8

Chapter 8

Chapter 8

The group arrived at the guest room area.

The door to the farthest room was ajar. Muffled crying and struggling sounds came from inside.

Grayson’s expression darkened. He shoved the door open-

The room was trashed.

Kaia lay on the floor, clothes torn, a man in server’s uniform pinning her down, ripping at what was left of her dress!

Blackwell security tackled the guy instantly.

“Ahh-!”

Kaia saw everyone and completely lost it, screaming, clutching the shredded fabric to her chest.

She pointed straight at me, her voice shrill and hysterical.

“It was HER! Seraphina Morgan!”

“That server told me himself-SHE drugged me! SHE sent this man to rape me! She wanted to destroy me completely!”

Every eye in the room turned to me.

Grayson’s gaze felt like it could rip me apart.

He stormed over, grabbed my wrist hard.

“Seraphina Morgan, you’re fucking evil!”

“You couldn’t have me, so you tried to ruin Kaia’s innocence?”

“You hate her that much? Enough to use this sick, twisted method to take her virginity?!”

I laughed coldly inside.

Virginity?

Before Grayson, Kaia had gone through more boyfriends than I could count-hotel rooms included.

And later, to lose weight fast, she’d even…

But I didn’t need to say any of that.

Grayson looked at Kaia’s state, then back at my silence.

The last trace of warmth in his eyes vanished.

He walked over to Kaia, still crumpled on the floor shaking, and took off his suit jacket, wrapping her tightly in it.

Then.

Chapter 8

He looked up at Sterling Blackwell, who’d rushed over after hearing the commotion. His voice was firm.

“Grandfather, I’m marrying Kaia Ashford.”

“From now on, she’s my fiancée. I dare anyone to touch her again.”

With that, he scooped Kaia up in his arms.

Under everyone’s shocked stares, he carried her into an unused guest room nearby.

“Tm helping Kaia detox right now.”

Before closing the door, he looked back at me one last time.

That look said everything-declaration and revenge, all rolled into one.

The next day.

Blackwell Corp issued an official statement:

Grayson Blackwell, heir to the Blackwell empire, was officially engaged to Ms. Kaia Ashford.

Less than ten minutes later, my phone rang.

It was Grayson.

“Seraphina Morgan. Do you regret it now?”

I walked to the window and looked down at the reporters gathered below, waiting to see me fall.

“No.”

The breathing on the other end stopped cold.

“Good. Real good.”

“Kaia gave me her most precious first time. From now on, she’s mine.”

“I finally understand who really loves me. Who’s actually worth protecting.”

“As for you, Seraphina Morgan.”

“I’m gonna make you understand what happens when you hurt the person I love.”

“Get ready for your end.”

He hung up.

Round two of the Blackwell assault on the Morgans began.

This time, it was ruthless.

No mercy.

A week later.

Chapter 8

Emergency Morgan Pharma board meeting.

The conference room felt like a funeral. Old shareholders sighing and groaning.

“It’s over… the bank’s final deadline is tomorrow. Once the cash flow breaks, we’re done.”

“The Blackwells are dead set on burying us this time!”

“Morgan Pharma… won’t last three more days.”

Faces were pale with panic.

Everyone except me.

I sat at the head of the table, expression getting calmer.

One shareholder finally snapped, shouting at me.

“The company is about to collapse! How can you still be smiling?!”

I didn’t respond to him. Just nodded at my assistant.

“Release the news.”

The shareholder who’d yelled at me froze, confused.

“What news?”

I raised my eyes and slowly scanned the room-every anxious, desperate face.

Then I said quietly:

“The news that Kaia Ashford and Grayson Blackwell both have HIV.”
