The Girl in the Mirror’s Price Novel Chapter 2

Stole My Name to Date A Billionaire by Mark Twain 2

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

The call ended, and the dorm went dead silent.

The other two roommates glanced between me and Kaia, not daring to breathe.

Kaia stood frozen for a second, then forced out a stiff, fake laugh.

“Cut me off? So what! You think I’m scared?”

“Your company’s sketchy-ass drugs-who knows if they’re even safe? Maybe I was your lab rat. I’ve been wanting to quit anyway!”

“Once my boyfriend gets back, I can afford whatever meds I want!”

I tucked my phone away, voice flat.

“Good. Then wait for him.”

What Kaia didn’t know: without Morgan Pharma’s custom meds, once she switched to the regular steroids on the market, she was fucked.

Moon face. Buffalo hump. Central obesity. Purple stretch marks.

That face she was so proud of?

It was gonna rot, swell, collapse.

Wait three months.

When Grayson saw his photo-perfect goddess turn into a bloated monster.

That moment was gonna be delicious.

I didn’t bother looking at Kaia’s fake-calm expression again. I turned and started packing.

“You’re moving out?” one roommate whispered.

“Yeah. Need some peace.”

I needed a space with zero distractions.

Because I was about to finish the plan Kaia ruined last life.

I study Medicine, specializing in metabolism and weight management.

Most people thought it was a joke.

A 200-pound girl researching weight loss?

What they didn’t know: I chose this body.

Freshman year, using a family formula and modern pharmacology, I refined an all-herbal treatment.

Effective weight loss. Almost zero side effects.

Chapter 2

Dad was thrilled-wanted to launch a whole new product line at Morgan Pharma.

But the board shut it down instantly.

“A kid’s experiment and you’re claiming zero side effects?”

“Miss Morgan, how old are you? Who’d believe this résumé?”

“Wanna prove it works? Fine. Test it on yourself first.”

Their mockery actually gave me an idea.

So with Dad’s quiet support, I started my human trial.

Over nearly two years, using controlled diet and meds, I gained a hundred pounds.

Last life, I was about to go livestreaming my full transformation-

Kaia dragged me to meet Grayson.

Then everything went to hell. Family destroyed. Plan abandoned.

This time, I wasn’t waiting.

I zipped up my suitcase.

The girl in the mirror was still bloated.

But the fire in her eyes-dead for two lifetimes-finally reignited.

Last life, everyone told me: when I was thin, I was stunning.

So this time? I’m taking back that life that should’ve been mine.

And every single debt they owe me.
