After sending out his text message, Charlie found himself inundated with replies.

The first response came from Jasmine: “Mr. Wade, don’t worry! I’ll definitely come over to congratulate your wife tomorrow!”

Next was Graham’s reply: “Thank you for the invitation, Mr. Wade. I will surely join you for the opening ceremony tomorrow!”

Zeke chimed in as well: “Mr. Wade, I’ll make sure to bring my son and nephew with me to congratulate your wife! I really want those two rascals to apologize to you in person…”

Everyone was buzzing with excitement over Charlie’s invitation, seeing it as a perfect opportunity to connect with him.

Claire, however, felt a bit apprehensive about the opening ceremony planned for the next day. She had never anticipated that her husband would organize such a grand event for her!

Once home, Claire quickly freshened up so she could rest early and get ready for the opening of her studio the following morning.

Charlie also hit the hay early that night, his mind focused solely on making Claire the most talked-about person in Aurous Hill the next day.

With limited funds as she was just launching her business, Claire had rented a small office in the somewhat secluded Bright Star Building.

While the Bright Star Building was owned by Emgrand Group, it was hardly noteworthy. The group didn’t actively manage the building; instead, they rented out the office spaces to various intermediary firms.

Initially, Charlie had considered asking Doris to free up a floor in the Bright Star Building for Claire’s office. However, he realized it would be challenging to explain that to her, so he opted to let Claire use her own finances to rent a small office instead.

At that moment, Charlie and Claire stood outside the modest office, waiting for their guests to arrive.

Claire had sent out invitation letters to several former partners from Wilson Group and even had the courage to invite Doris from Emgrand Group. Still, she felt a flutter of nerves, uncertain if anyone would actually show up.

Starting her own company was quite a challenge, and if the opening ceremony flopped, it would reflect poorly on her in the industry.

Noticing Claire’s anxious expression, Charlie quickly reassured her, “My dear wife, it’s still early. When the time comes, all the guests will definitely be here. Try not to worry.”

With the opening scheduled for ten o’clock and the time just past nine, it was perfectly normal for no one to have arrived yet.

A short while later, Claire received a phone call.

Upon answering, she learned from the receptionist at the Bright Star Building that the Wilson family had arrived.

Surprised, Charlie asked, “The Wilson family? What brings them here? Did you invite them?”

Claire shook her head and replied, “Why would I invite them after our disagreement? They’re probably here to gloat. The receptionist mentioned that Grandma came with my uncle’s family. Charlie, please try to avoid any confrontations with them.”

Charlie nodded and smiled, saying, “As long as they don’t cause any trouble, I promise to keep the peace. Today is meant to be a joyous occasion.”
