Serenity, taken aback, replied: [How did you know I was wearing stilettos?]

Serenity: [So Elisa ratted me out. I must have looked ridiculous in heels. I keep wanting to toss them aside. Sandals are so much more comfortable.]

“Seren, who are you texting? Your phone is vibrating non-stop,” Elisa suddenly leaned over to ask. Serenity quickly replied, “It’s nothing. I’m just chatting with Zachary and asking what he’s up to.”
Upon hearing that Serenity was messaging Zachary, Elisa sat up straight and teased, “You two just made up, and you’re already flaunting your love in front of us. If you keep acting all lovey-dovey, you’ll make us jealous!”
In unison, Audrey and Serenity chimed in, “If you’re jealous, then hurry up and find a boyfriend.”
Elisa was left speechless, realizing she had forgotten that her mother was also in the car.
