Married at First Sight Chapter 987

Chapter 987
Elisa regretted that she could not become the love of Zachary’s life. Nevertheless, she was content with Zachary being her cousin-in-law and wished Serenity nothing but happiness.
From the glint in his dark eyes, it was clear that Zachary was taken aback.
He had anticipated that Elisa would seize the opportunity to undermine him in front of Serenity.
Poor Elisa; Zachary had completely misjudged her.
“Is the car outside with the flat tires John’s?”
“Yes.”
Pulling out his phone, Zachary said, “I’ll call the traffic police to have the car towed. It’s parked there, blocking traffic.”
“He secretly checked on the car twice. I suppose he’s waiting until I’m not around to call the tow truck,” Serenity replied sarcastically. “He’s acting like a thief.”
“Speaking of which, I need to inform you that your cousin has an appointment for surgery with a plastic surgeon. What look do you think she should aim for?”
Serenity wickedly remarked, “She wants to look like me and take my place. Since she enjoys pretending to be someone else, she could undergo surgery to resemble my oldest cousin. She’s Mike’s sister, and she’s married.”
She was curious to see how her relatives would react if Harriet adopted all the features of Mike’s sister. What would her oldest cousin and her husband think when they found out? It would certainly shake the Hunt family to its core.
“What is your oldest cousin’s name? I can inform Josh so he can look into it. We can make Harriet resemble Mike’s sister if we get a picture of her face.”
As Serenity disclosed her oldest cousin’s name to Zachary, he immediately texted Josh: [Get that Harriet girl to look like this woman.]
Josh responded with a voice note, “Zachary, did you leave work early again?”

Zachary spoke in a matter-of-fact tone, “Yes, I left work early. Do you have a problem with that? I thought you all would be pleased.”

Josh was left speechless.

While everyone else celebrated Zachary’s absence from the office, Josh felt differently. He also wanted to leave work early to spend time with Jasmine.

Of course, Josh was happy for Zachary, who had finally made amends with his wife. The storm had passed.

“Are you free in two days?” Serenity asked Zachary.

“What’s going on?”

Zachary looked intently at Serenity. “If you need anything, just tell me. I’m always available for you.”

“Since you don’t work on weekends, come with me to my hometown. I’m arranging for a truck each of bricks and gravel to be delivered to my parents’ house. The trucks will unload in front of their home to announce that my sister and I are returning to renovate.”

Before Zachary could respond, Serenity continued, “Nana mentioned that my granddad and other relatives have been stalking them. These people lack any shame and have no limits. They believe we pose no threat now that they’ve lost their businesses and jobs.”

“Well, we’ll start with my parents’ house then. My sister and I have discussed it and plan to reclaim our home after the new year. Once the word gets out, I’m sure my granddad and the others will hurry back.”

“They won’t get anything from me. They probably won’t relinquish the house my parents left behind. But by doing this, we can draw them back to our hometown. It’s time to take this to court since reconciliation is no longer an option.”

The Hunts had crossed the line too many times. Serenity had been strategizing to redirect their attention, and her parents’ home seemed the perfect starting point. It was high time to take action.

She decided to pursue legal action regardless. Zachary’s dark eyes sparkled with confidence as he believed Serenity’s plan would succeed. It would also resolve the problem with the house.

“Okay, I’ll accompany you to your hometown this weekend. It’s been a long time since you last visited your parents’ grave. I can join you and your sister in paying your parents a visit this year as well.”
