Married at First Sight Chapter 975

Chapter 975
Upon returning to his office, Zachary chose not to immerse himself in work immediately. Instead, he decided to call his mother.
Since he typically only contacted her when necessary, Tania felt a wave of anxiety when she received a call from her eldest son.
She believed that Zachary would only reach out for significant matters, which made her nervous and concerned, particularly given that he and Serenity had not reconciled. As a mother and mother-in-law, Tania felt powerless in this situation.
“Zack.”
Noticing the worry in his mother’s voice, Zachary responded in a calm tone to ease her anxiety, “Mom, Clive’s wife is pregnant.”
Tania was initially taken aback, but soon her mood lightened. “That’s certainly cause for celebration.”
Alice’s pregnancy had not yet been announced in the business world, as the influential family was cautious about timing. The news would only be made public after Alice passed her first trimester.
Since Alice was still in the early stages of her pregnancy, the information was kept within her closest family, the Lafayettes and Stones. It was understandable that Serenity was aware of the pregnancy, given that she is Mrs. Stone’s niece.
If Serenity informed Zachary, it likely indicated that the couple had reconciled.
This was the reason for Tania’s delight; it wasn’t merely about being happy for Alice.
“I’ll prepare some supplements to send to the Stones,” she said.
Zachary expressed his gratitude.
Tania added, “Our family’s relationship with the Stones is secondary because Mrs. Stone is Serenity’s aunt. We wouldn’t need to do anything if we were unaware of Alice’s pregnancy, but now that we are, it’s important to be polite and send gifts. It’s the least I can do to show respect.”
“When are you bringing Serenity home for

“Dinner?”

“I’ll bring her to the manor for a short visit when she has time,” he replied.

Tania responded, “Okay. Make sure to talk to her sister. We shouldn’t exclude her from your wedding with Serenity. It’s important to follow all the traditions.”

“Got it, Mom.”

“Could you give me your sister-in-law’s address? I’d like to discuss your wedding plans with her.”

Zachary said, “My sister-in-law is currently renting a place. I wanted to give her a house, but both she and Serenity declined.”

Tania paused for a moment before commenting, “Your nana likely took a liking to Serenity because of her independence and ability to earn her own money. Serenity has no interest in the Yorks’ fame and fortune. It’s rare for her and her sister to remain true to themselves in this materialistic world. Unfortunately, Serenity doesn’t come from a good family. Her money-hungry relatives…”

The Hunts made Tania feel ill. They were a troublesome family, and she had never encountered anyone more ruthless and unreasonable.

As Zachary thought about properties, his mind drifted back to his Valentine’s gift for Serenity. Ultimately, she had not accepted it.

Zachary considered asking Jasmine to mediate, but Jasmine insisted he handle it himself.

He wanted to transfer all his personal assets to Serenity, but she also rejected that offer. However, she agreed to keep the important documents, such as the title deeds, only because he had threatened to throw them away.

That was how she finally relented.

Still, she returned the black card to him.
