Married at First Sight Chapter 945

Chapter 945
“Come on in.”
Liberty stepped aside to let Zachary enter.
Carrying some bags, Zachary saw his beloved wife watching TV. He walked over, set the bag on the coffee table, and sat down next to Serenity.
“Zachary, feel free to help yourself to anything you want to eat or drink,” Liberty said before heading back to her room.
This gave the couple some much-needed alone time.
“What did you buy?”
Serenity set the remote down and asked. She then pulled the bag closer, opened it, and was left speechless.
Not only did he have people monitoring her every move, but he had also purchased milk powder for pregnant women, even though her pregnancy had yet to be confirmed.
Fortunately, he hadn’t sent a truckload of supplements over.
Perhaps he had been in too much of a rush to consider buying a whole truckload of them for her.
“I can’t take these right now. You should return them. They’re returnable,” she insisted.
Zachary replied, “I checked the expiration date. As long as you consume them before that, there’s no need to return them.”
They would eventually have a child, after all.
“I wasn’t sure what to buy either. When I went to the pharmacy and asked, the employee recommended folic acid tablets, so I got those, along with calcium tablets. When I saw they had this type of milk powder, I bought two tins,” Zachary explained honestly.
After noticing Serenity’s new hairstyle, he thought she looked more beautiful than ever.
His gaze softened and deepened with love for her, but he didn’t say a word of praise.
“Are you feeling any discomfort?”
Zachary recalled that

She experienced abdominal pain. “Not right now, but I probably will tomorrow,” she said. During the first two days of her period, she often felt uncomfortable, suffering from either abdominal cramps or backaches, which made her quite irritable. After those two days, however, she would feel fine.

Zachary sat in silence for a moment before offering, “I’ll make you some hot cocoa.”

“Okay, thanks,” she replied. Just as Zachary was about to leave, he added, “Seren, we’re husband and wife. You don’t need to be so formal with me.” A couple who interacted so courteously couldn’t truly be in love.

Serenity pursed her lips and stayed silent. Zachary gazed at her thoughtfully for a moment before getting up to make the hot cocoa in the small kitchen.

Beep beep! Serenity received a new message. She pulled out her phone and saw it was from Jim.

“Missus, the boss hasn’t eaten yet.”

Serenity quickly replied, “Got it.”

Putting her phone down, she stood up and walked into the kitchen as well. Since the sisters frequently ate out, the kitchen was almost bare. Serenity peeked into the fridge and quietly closed the door.

“Seren, what are you looking for? What do you want to eat? Just tell me, and I’ll make it for you,” Zachary offered.

“It’s nothing. I’m just checking if there are any groceries left. If not, I’ll need to go to the supermarket tomorrow morning,” Serenity explained before turning to leave the kitchen.

Back on the sofa, she texted Jim, “Jim, please order some fast food for your boss and send it over here.”

Jim quickly responded, “Missus, I’ve ordered the fast food and will send it up ASAP.”

She couldn’t help but admire Jim in her heart for his quick wit. Soon after, the doorbell rang. Serenity stood up to answer the door, and there was Jim. Upon seeing her open the door, he respectfully greeted her with, “Missus.”
