Married at First Sight Chapter 853

Chapter 853
“Tania, please have someone prepare ginger soup for that boy. Make sure to add extra ginger for more spice.”
Grandma May came out of the room and instructed her daughter-in-law as she stepped outside.
Tania nodded and instructed the maid accordingly.
When the two women reached the pool, Zachary was still swimming around like a fish.
“Zachary York,” Grandma May called out angrily.
Zachary glanced at his grandmother before swimming to the edge of the pool. He climbed up and sat there.
Grandma May walked around the pool to him and said with concern, “What are you still doing sitting here? Hurry back inside.”
“I want to relax and calm down, Nana.”
Grandma May scolded him, “If you want to calm down, you can lock yourself in your room. I assure you no one will disturb you. Why do you need to jump into the pool for that?”
“It’s quite effective.”
Zachary replied nonchalantly, “The cold water clears my mind and eases my irritability.”
He was being honest.
Grandma May was taken aback. “Now that you’ve calmed down, put on your clothes and go inside. You’ll catch a cold if you sit here too long.”
Zachary pursed his lips.
Tania brought his jacket and draped it over him, saying, “If you catch a cold, I’ll go to Serenity to settle the score with her. She’s the reason you’re out here.”
“Mom, you wouldn’t do something so unreasonable, would you?”
Zachary wasn’t genuinely worried about his mother confronting Serenity; she often spoke harshly but wouldn’t act unreasonably.
Tania replied, “A mother will do anything for her child.”
Grandma May chimed in, “Zack, go back into the house and change. I want to talk to you.”
Zachary looked up at

His nana sarcastically remarked, “I thought you’d be sick for a long time before getting out of bed.” When he returned and noticed her absence, he assumed she was hiding, as her typical strategy was to feign illness. Grandma May, with a thick skin, was not bothered by her grandson’s sarcasm. “I’m old but strong. I won’t get sick easily,” she replied.

“Hurry up and get dressed. Head back to the house and change your clothes,” she urged. She playfully kicked Zachary and added, “I’ll wait for you in the pavilion. I had someone prepare ginger soup for you, so come out after you finish it.” With that, she turned and walked away.

Tania advised, “Zack, go change your clothes or you’ll really catch a cold. You don’t want another shot, do you?”

Zachary replied bitterly, “Mom, the person who forced me to get those injections isn’t here anymore.”

Tania felt a pang of sadness and replied, “Zack, it’s understandable for Serenity to be upset after discovering the truth. Just give her a few days to calm down. Everything will be fine.”

“My lies have made her lose all trust in me. I don’t know how long it will take for her to trust me again,” Zachary lamented, recalling how she had been frightened and wanted to run away at the mere sound of his voice. His heart ached at the thought.

Tania sighed, “You’re still young and have your whole life ahead of you. As long as you don’t give up, what does it matter if it takes longer? You have a lifetime to make things right.”

Indeed, they had a lifetime ahead of them. Zachary remained silent for a long time. After his mother’s repeated urging, he finally got up and went back into the house to change his clothes.
