Married at First Sight Chapter 809

Chapter 809
Duncan drove Liberty to York Corporation.
On the way, he encountered Jasmine, whose e-bike had run out of battery. He kindly offered the distressed girl a ride. Jasmine left her bike strapped to a pole by the side of the road, intending to retrieve it once Serenity calmed down.
“Seren.”
“Seren.”
Liberty and Jasmine jumped out of the car and rushed toward Serenity.
In the commotion, Sonny was inadvertently left behind and forgotten by his mother.
Finally, Duncan was able to hug Sonny.
Sonny didn’t have much of a choice; his mother had dashed out, forgetting he was still in Duncan’s car. Duncan offered to carry the boy, and Sonny agreed. However, once they exited the car, Duncan never let Sonny’s feet touch the ground.
In fact, Duncan quickly made his way toward Serenity with Sonny in his arms.
Serenity was no match for Josh and Callum, so leaving York Corporation was not an option. She was becoming increasingly frustrated.
With her sister by her side, Serenity finally had a meltdown and threw herself into Liberty’s arms.
“Liberty.”
She cried in distress, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Heartbroken, Liberty held her sister tightly and softly said, “I’m here.”
As Serenity sobbed and expressed her feelings through tears, she eventually broke free from her sister’s embrace and said, “Liberty, I want to go home. A home with you in it.”
Not Zachary’s home.
Liberty wiped away Serenity’s tears and murmured gently, “Alright. Let’s go home.”
She took her sister’s hand and noticed Sonny in Duncan’s arms. Realizing her son was still with Duncan, she took him from Duncan and thanked him.
“I’ll hold Sonny,” Jasmine offered.
Liberty handed Sonny over to Jasmine.

“Seren!”

Callum stepped in front of the sisters.

He addressed Liberty, saying, “My brother is on his way to the office now, Liberty. This is between them. Let them talk it out and find a way to move forward, okay?”

Liberty retorted, “Mr. Callum, Seren doesn’t want to speak with your brother right now. Please step aside. The Yorks are beyond our reach!”

Still holding her sister’s hand, Liberty maneuvered around Callum to leave.

Callum anxiously followed while dialing his brother.

“Callum,” came Zachary’s husky voice from the other end.

“Are you here yet, Zachary? Serenity is about to leave, and I can’t hold her much longer.”

Zachary replied, sounding worried, “Just a few more minutes. Callum, don’t let her leave, no matter what.”

Callum grimaced and responded, “I can’t keep her here much longer, Zachary. You should have called the rest of the family for backup.”

His strength alone was insufficient.

Zachary snapped, “Just hold on a few more minutes!”

He then hung up.

It wasn’t that Zachary didn’t want to involve his other brothers and cousins, but they worked far from York Corporation, and by the time they arrived, it would be too late. That’s why Zachary had to rely solely on Callum.

Callum, along with Josh and now Duncan, was on Zachary’s side. They did everything they could to keep Serenity near the office building for as long as possible.

Fortunately, Zachary arrived just in time.

His convoy pulled in as Serenity was getting into her car.

The approaching Rolls Royce reminded Serenity of the one she frequently saw in Brynfield. It must belong to Zachary.

When she asked him about it, Zachary claimed it belonged to a fellow resident.

He was lying to her every time.

It was the second of the day. Among Zachary’s security team, a familiar figure stood out. Upon closer inspection, she recognized him as Jim, the hired driver. However, Jim was not just any hired driver; he was not merely someone who ran errands for the right price. Jim was Zachary’s personal bodyguard!
